The microwave suddenly will not work. The clock is on, the interior light works but the only key that makes a noise is the stop/clear.I thought it accidentaly was locked and tried holding numerous keys- the stop/clear key eventally put a little L on the screen even though the lock sign is on the start key. I tried unplugging. I have not figured it out + I no longer have the manual since I've never needed it in the 8+ years I've had it.
My microwave isn't working right. Everything works but the turntable doesn't move, and there's no sound at all when i tried to heat something. Also no heatng. It all happen after I cleaned it. I'm not sure what to do.

All the buttons appear to work and a setting can be made for temperature and cook time. Light goes on inside when door opens and for all it appears the microwave works. However the turntable does not turn, there is no sound and food does not cook. The microwave was in the house that I purchased 3 years ago and there was no manual with it. I have tried unplugging/plugging in tried different buttons and have only been able to use it for the timer and clock to get any use at all.
This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a problem on the control panel.
Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. Its continuity must be checked.
Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.
