Re: Canon EOS 400D
It does come with software but if you are running XP it should pick up the camera when you put it in play mode and load the generic drivers for it after it loads the drivers check in my computer to see if their is a diffrent drive letter.

Hi If you bought your camera (400D) new it would have come with RAW conversion software on a disk. You can start by installing this. To get the photos off the camera you should be able to plug it in vis the USB cable that came with it. The better way would be to buy a card reader. This is a lot quicker, save on battery wear and tear, or save you plugging in the power.
Alternative software would be to buy Adobe Photoshop Elements for the RAW processing. This is a good start for most people.
The EOS Digital Rebel, EOS Digital Rebel XT and EOS Digital Rebel XTi do not support stamping the date and time on the image.
It is not possible to record the date and time as part of the image at
the time the picture is taken. However, the date and time is captured
in the EXIF information of the image at the point of capture. It is
possible to print the image with the date and time via printing
software. Please see the documentation for the software package that
you use for printing images for the proper procedure.
