Re: Error # 3-43-100. I experienced this same error message this morning trying to play music my Tivo Series2 which is networked to my Windows 7 PC. The fix for me was to shut down my PC, DSL modem, unplug the USB network connector to my Tivo box and Restart Tivo (Messages and Settings). While the Tivo was rebooting, I restarted the PC, DSL and reconnected the USB connection to the Tivo box -- and after Tivo came back on, everything was working again.

It appears you may have a network communication problem or a firewall issue on your computer. The problems may require further troubleshooting and more info. Posting details on this thread on the subject at the Tivo help forums may help, alternattively you can upgrade to Fixya chat.
If I find a step by step tutorial I will post it here.

Try first disconnecting the Tivo and router from power plug.
If this does not work You need to go throught your router and network settings. Eventually check the router firewall settings and set divo Ip as trusted address.
Here for example there is a solution to the same problem, if you follow same steps it is likely that you can fix it.

Here and here you find detailed desription of solutions for same problem.

It sounds like this problem is actually with your TiVO unit?

Some troubleshooting steps for this problem can be found here.

Some other suggestions by other TiVO users that experience this same error are available here.

It sounds like this problem has not been directly acknowledged and addressed by TiVO, but some users have found various workarounds for the problem.

The led keeps blinking when I turn on the television... It blinks nonstop.... What's wrong?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location.

How do you retieve the error codes?

All Mitsubishi DLP Televisions have a built in Diagnostic Decoder to store the last fault in memory. This will help the Mitsubishi Technician determine what area or part defect could exsist due to your television not coming on or turning off by itself. In order to read the error code from the front panel lights, you need to know how to access this information if it is available.
Please remember not to unplug the tv from the power outlet because this will reset the error code. The television must be in the power off state or shut off state to retreive the code.
Error Code Operational Check
Note: The TV must be in “Shut Down” and not have been switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational
Check.
Pressing the front panel “ACTIVITY” and “CHANNEL DOWN v” buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds,
activates the Error Code Mode. The “TIMER LED” flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no
problem has occurred since the last usage.

Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control. • The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code. • The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second. • The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code. • The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.
Example: If the Error Code is “23”, the LED will flash two times, pause, and then flash three times, then this will repeat itself for four more times before the blinking stops. If you forget the code, you can start all over again after the LEDs have stopped blinking. Just remember you are looking for a two digit code, denoted by a pause in the middle.
Example: You are watching Television and after 20 seconds it shuts off with no picture or sound. By pressing on the front panel the INPUT and MENU at the same time starts the Diagnostic Procedure, and the TIMER LED will then blink six times, and then a small pause, then six more times. This is an error code of 66, and will indicate to the Technician a defect in the lamp ignition circuitry. This will help us to order parts for the repairs without guess work.
In addition to the above code retrieval procedure- most new Mitsubishi LCD & DLP televisions have a built in Error Code Log or menu system. To access this feature the television has to be on and have a picture or blue screen to read this fault menu . To read this Error Log in the television you have to use the Mitsubishi remote control and follow this procedure: Press & release the Menu button, followed by 3564 on the remote control. You will see Lamp time, Code & Status. If an error has happened, please read the numbers indicated under Code to our service person or office staff. We can determine by these codes how to handle service on your unit.

Mitsubishi ws-65809 powers on for 2 seconds. After holding menu & input I get a 1 blink, 2 blink error code. Anyone know what this error code is and how to fix. Thanks

2,2 error code is short protection---98% of the time it means one of the two soldered in pico fuses this set uses is blown----there are several---but your problem means if it is ws-65809 one of the two stk-392-570 convergence chips has failed.

I will attach a photo---they are on the middle circuit board and the two to the right are for convergence--both are green and 5 amp--with the set unplugged check both of them like any fuse--no reading means bad.

If you find this--I HAVE START TO FINISH, STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS REPAIR IN THIS SET--SHOPS WILL GET 300 or more but you if you can do it yourself buy everything you need for under 40 dollars--I can tell you the best place to get the chips, fuses, etc.

If you want the instructions let me know and I will post them here for you---they are based on my own actual experience doing this repair in this kind of set hundreds of times.

If this information helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Here is a photo of what the two chips look like--The one in the picture says 392-560 but yours uses two that look just like it--STK-392-570.

TV will not turn on. Push power button green

Try this and let me know what you find:

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} MOST OF THESE SETS HAVE A SELF DIAGNOSTIC:

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD “device” and “menu” buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC’s is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

If it is 2,2 I have START TO FINISH STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS AND PHOTOS TO SHOW YOU WHERE THE FUSES & PROTECT RESISTORS FOR THEM ARE LOCATED.

The instructions tell you everything you will need for the repair and how to do it.

You can buy all the parts needed for less than 30 dollars on Ebay (I know the best seller there) I have repaired hundreds of these sets with this problem

If this information has helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

If you want the instructions & photos let me know and I will post them here for free.
