Please Help!! My Acer Aspire 5520 is acting crazy all of a sudden. I press power to turn on but screen stays dark and you can hear the fan start and it shuts back down and continues the cycle over and over and over again. I brought it new 1 1/2 yrs ago....please help!!!!:(

Just got one with the same problem, but it was not the original problem. first it would get so far in bios or windows splash then die. but now the same problem as you. originally my fan was working, now it does not spin up at all. I am going to try the 30 fan fix first, but if it fails it could be the Motherboard or the CPU, I cleared a lot of dust out of the fan whenI first got it.
