The best way around this problem is to have a card reader installed on your PC.
Using the card reader you can format, delete, copy or whatever just like it was a hard drive attached to the computer.
You can even get a usb card reader so there is no need to install anything into your PC. Check yourlocal PC for either version.

There is however a possibility that the card has been put into write protect mode. Pull the card out and there will normally be a tiny switch. One way is writeable, the other is write protected.

Let me know how you go =)

I Have taken pictures with the camera , after it saves it keeps telling me photo error , im trying to recovery images i have taken , and they are unable to view and when i copy them to my pc , windows says...

Your pictures may be corrupted. You can recover those corrupted pictures with this
1. Do not save any new pictures into the memory card of your camera.
2. Insert the memory card into a card reader. Connect it with computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is Tenorshare Data Recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/datarecoverystandard.htm
4. Install and open the program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

How to Recover Deleted Pictures from Digital Camera's Memory Card?

Memory Full or something esle?

Can you use any of the buttons on the back? A common problem for this model is keypad failure due to the connecting ribbon strip splitting, over time, where it is folded over.
All the buttons on the back of the camera run off the same ribbon. Only the on/off and shutter/zoom button run from a different ribbon.
For the memory problem, this camera has an internal memory but it is very limited and requires an xd card to increase memory capacity. If you cannot use the keypad to view or delete pictures then try either connecting a usb cable to the camera and computer or removing the xd card and use a card reader to view pictures.
If your pictures are stored on the internal memory then obviously you will be unable to view them if your keypad is not working and only by connecting to your pc via a usb lead will you be able to upload and view your pictures. You should also be able to delete them from the camera when plugged into your computer once you have uploaded.

Picture error message on olympus 1200

Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the Picture error message and the card can be used again. The picture error message indicates that this image is now corrupted and unable to be viewed through the camera.

Praktica dcz unable to delete photos and take picture

You probably have a memory card in your camera.
Remove it and check for a nearly microscopic slide switch on one edge.
This is a 'protect tab' and will not allow you access to memory unless it is properly set.
