There is usually a 12 month warranty of laptops unless you jave an extended warranty. Check the date on your purchase receipt and if you have registered your warranty with Acer check their WEB support site.

Take note of your model number and serial number and ring up ACER. Ask them about your warranty status and they should be able to help you out.

First thing to do is to test the screen. Also you have not mentioned if there is any cracks or damages.

Plug the laptop to an external monitor (any type will do). If the display on the external monitor is OK then it means the laptop screen is damaged.

If the display on the external screen is the same as the laptop then the problem is internal with the graphic chip or the video contacts.

this laptop is not that old since acer released this model last year. Check you warranty status on it. Some acer laptops come with two year warranty. Check the laptop carefully, if there is no sign of physical damage, (cracks, chips ...) then take it back as a warranty issue.

did you register with acer? if so they will be able to provide you with the information. check your BIOS

• Press Del or F2 immediately after powering on.
• The BIOS on the Acer Altos 600 server uses the Ctrl+Alt+Esc key and the F1 key for advanced options.
• Older Acer computers may use also use the F1 or Ctrl+Alt+Esc keys to access BIOS.

Sounds like a systemboard failure;
You can possibly try reseating the memory but the best bet is to determine if you still have a warranty, and if so to contact acer for support.
