Also, what personally happened to me was that I had accidentally taken the RCA Product Detection off "Start with Windows" when I was cleaning up ****.

If you don't have the RCA Product Detection program running, your mp3 player will keep disconnecting and reconnecting.

It worked for me at least. Let me know if this helps.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

How do i transfer all my music video's from my music file to my opal rca mp3 player when i plug in my mp3 player.

This unit supports windows xp and vista Just have windows media player locate all your audio and WMA compatable videos. Then use the sync feature at the top of your windows media player to create a sync list on the right hand side by dragging your stuff over to that area .Use start/sync button in the lower right corner this should get you loading your player!!

Opal rca mp3 m4002a TROUBLE!

Disable the auto-sync option in Windows Media Player, and then delete the songs again from Windows Media Player. If auto-sync is not disabled, then those songs will never go away.

WWON'T POWER ON

For one, you don't need the CD to put music on the Opal. It's a plug and play device. Go to My Computer on your desktop and you will see under Audio Devices "OPAL". Click on that and you'll see a folder called "Media" and that's where you put your music.

For not turning on, click Pause/Play twice

For charging, You need to plug in the USB cord into the computer to charge it. Wait 3 hours. The Opal doesn't have a real long battery life, i'd say around 10-15 hours. So you'll be needing to charge it quite a bit.
