Question about Panasonic KX-T7730 Corded Phone

Open Question

Panasonic KXT 824 BX and KXT 7730 Handsets

Hi I've got the above system and handsets, literally 3 lines and 3 handsets!

However I've noticed that the phones/systems/ or lines aren't always consistent, when we are called by a customer everything works perfectly but for some reason they cannot always hear us clearly, it sounds very faint... I'm wondering if you've come across this problem before? Also is there a way to turn up the microphone on the handset so they can hear us better?

please help!! shanh@bthell.com

This sounds like the register-deregister problem elsewhere on this page. Try holding down the "end" and "#" buttons for about 6 seconds to deregister the phones and then reregister them. I had this problem too and it worked for me.

SOURCE: VT 2461 Won't let me register new handset

Rosehello's solution worked with one additional step for my handsets...After re-programming all of the 4 handsets, I had to unplug the base unit one more time and then it reset. Until that time it would only show"AL" and would not function.

From the manual:

1) Before registering the extra handset, the battery pack MUST be charged for 15-20
hours.
2) With the main base in standby mode, press the MENU soft key on the base.
3) Press /vol/∧ or /vol/∨ on the base to select H S R e g i s t r a t i o n, and then
press the OK soft key.
4) On the handset, press and hold # for two seconds. To cancel registration, press

SOURCE: Extra handsets no longer seem to work. No ring and no line

Please be sure to put the extra handsets in the MAIN base station to register. They will not register in the small remote charger stations.

Let me know if that fixes the problem!

Look carefully at the part number on the phone and where you posted. A Panasonic 7730 set has 24 buttons, 12 left side C.O. buttons and 12 right side PF buttons. A TA30830 (new style) has 12 buttons with LED's. In our country, the TA30830 needed 824 version 2 or greater software to work.
In your country the other mate to that is the KXT-7667.

If your phone is one of those and actually works, as in any Panasonic set, the LED buttoon requires a "2" in front of the digit sequence to tell the system it's a PF button.. So, PROG button 2+access code+number STORE saves a speed dial. The access code is what you dial to get an outside line.

How do i program the panasonic kxt-7731 so when a call is coming in i can just lift the handset to answer instead of pushing the co line

You have to do 2 things: Make it ring and turn on Line Preference-Incoming Ringing line. The first is done from SYSTEM programming in programs 408/409/410 for DAY/NIGHT/LUNCH. The second is defaulted to Ringing so if the phone rings, it's supposed to work. If you've changed it, then from your idle phone you press PROGRAM and dial 22 STORE. (21 is no preference and 23 plus a number is a specific line).

I just bought my panasonic units and i cant change the date model number of the phones kxt-7730 hybrid system tes-824 i want to change the date i have tried program 0 but it doesn't work i get the 3 beeps...

Since that's done from SYSTEM program 000, it seems likely that you 1. Aren't using extension 101 and 2. Didn't log into the system for programming

Try it again.

I have panasonic phone kx-t7730 i want add one more line plz help

Since a 7730 is just a phone, you need a bit more information. It plugs into a Pana KSU, typically a TA 624/824 for that model era. A TA starts as a 308 meaning 3 lines 8 phones and grows to 8 lines 24 phones by adding another 308 and 208 card. So, if you're adding line 4, you need to have the expansion card to make it work. These systems come with at least 2 and maybe up to 6 manuals. I would hope you don't plan on "adding one more line" without it.

Your 7730 is just a phone. The programming is done to the SYSTEM that the 7730 plug into, from either a maintenance program on a PC or extension 101. There will be a programming manual (PM) for the particular system, be it a TA-624, 824 TAW or different system. In system programming, you turn the lines on in system program 400 and adjust the ringing in programs 407-409 (TA codes). You also have to plug the 3rd line into the CO3 port on the cabinet.

Hi I have a panasonic KX-T7730 and I need to connect it to my linksys PAP2T Device. but I haven't Voice Over It. can I use this device with KX-T7730?

The 7730 is a Panasonic Analog System phone. It plugs into a Key Service Unit and the line port plugs into the PAP2T device. Model numbers like KXT-A624/824 are examples.

Call fwd

Let's see if I can be 3-3 :-)

If the 7730 is connected to a TA-824 system, you need to have 3 elements in programming, an access code that gives you an outside line, 9 works if your lines are properly programmed in system program 400, and 81,82,83 codes work if not. The problem with 8x codes is that it only gets a specific line and if that's busy, it doesn't work.

You also need to turn on the option in programming. Reference the following thread http://www.fixya.com/support/t3120724-forward_calls_outside_number

Panasonic KX-T7731 phone cuts off/mutes on hold music

My guess is that you have a KXT-624 or 824 system.Follow the instuctions here: http://www.onholdplus.com/products/7000series_connect1.html

Then, if you get lucky, when you go to any system phone and press "1" without picking up the handset, the music will play.

If it doesn't and you don't get MOH, you may have to do some programming in system program 111.
