We'll need more info mate . What type of tv it is and what inputs you have.

Normally the only cable that works from a PC to a TV ( if the tv is a oldish model ) is the s-video

No signal

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, the "No Signal" error message indicates just that, it is not receiving anything or that the signal it receives is beyond its capacity. With this in mind, pls check:
  • the cable connection from PC to Projector;
  • that the PC is set to display on a 2nd monitor, TV or Projector depending on the capability of the PC's video card (Twin View or Dual View); or
  • as main monitor;
  • lower down the computer's Screen Resolution and/or Screen refresh rate.
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Connecting tv/cable box

Hi,

This is a fairly common problem with this model. In most instances, it is just "slow" in sensing the presence of a video source as it cycles in its selection, internal DVD, VGA, Composite Video IN. Since it does not have a manual source selection, your only option is to really wait.

Verify that "Auto Source Select" is enabled in the Management Menu (buttons-Proj/Setup then >/9) and "tap" the "SRC" button on the projector itself to manually initiate the input/source selection.

Verify that you have done the connections correctly. Yellow RCA connector is the video while the red & white are the audio. Of course the Video input should be connected to the Video output, same goes for the audio. Please refer to pages 22 & 23 of the user's manual for more detailed instructions as well as illustrations.

A couple of things to consider: it is not HDTV capable and pls don't loose the remote.

If the unit will not select a source after some time (minutes), perhaps your best bet would be to seek replacement.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

CONNECT CABLE TO MY PROJECTOR

Hi,

Depending on the specific model of your Mitsubishi DLP, you can have either S video, RCA, VGA or a few other choices of INput connection.

Depending on your cable provider and hookup, you can either have a plain cable with F connector or a cable box normally with RCA connectors and a remote control.

If you have a simple cable connection that attaches direct to a TV (no remote, no box), you would need a TV Tuner to be able to receive the different channels whose output would be a composite video signal into the yellow RCA jack. You would need an RCA to RCA cable to in turn connect it to your Yellow RCA Video INput of the projector. In the absence of a tuner, an old VCR with such a feature would also serve the purpose. In some instances either units may also have an S video connection.

If you have a cable box with with remote, then there is no need for a tuner or VCR since its output would already match the projector's input.

Either way you would need a separate audio amplifier/speaker  for the sound.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turns up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Projector and pc not picking each other up

Hi, Normally your connection should work straight out. Pls verify that your dvi output is enabled/activated by checking your display properties. In a Windows based OS machine, right click on any clear area of your desktop, click on Properties. Click on the settings tab, Advanced button. Check on the different abs such as Monitor, display and others. There should be an indicator for dual view or enabling/activating your secondary display unit (which is your projector). Hope this be of some idea/help. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. It may also be of help if you can provide info on your PC. Good luck and kind regards.

CTX Optoma EzPro 580

Hi, Optoma USA recommend that you set the PC resolution to SVGA (800 x 600) or XGA (1024 x 768). Your HP Pavilion ze 4900 default resolution is S = SXGA (1400 × 1050) or X = XGA (1024 × 768). I would assume that your cable(s) are properly mated/attached from the laptop to the projector. If on pressing TV Now! One-Touch button with a TV icon at the top of your keyboard to switch the display to the TV-Out mode, there is no picture projected, you can try to manually lower the screen resolution of your PC. Try lowering it to the 800 X 600 setting in your Display Properties. Also, you may want to check if the Dual Display Mode is enabled/activated. You can try different resolution setting as long as the projector can handle it. Hopes this works and give you an idea. Should you need more assistance, pls post/comment. Good luck and kind regards.
