Question about Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 (68C-00001) Webcam
Please help if you can. I have installed my webcam [ vx1000 version 1.30 ] and it apparently receives and sends to others but I cannot get it to display 'in house'.
I tried dropping the programme at Control Panel and starting from scratch but the problem persists. Like an old vinyl record with a scratch the set up panel for Video and Audio activates each time I 'fire up' the camera and it keeps telling me there's no camera present and I must choose one. I choose the correct camera and proceed with the installation.
At finish of installation a window comes up that tells me to select the audio and video specs again and around we go again. Also when the final window is displaying the 'buttons' for camera function that switch the window off are active but the lower ones, such as resolution, are 'dead'.
As I have explained the camera will send audio and video during a call but I should be able to get it to operate when viewing myself in front of it when there is no video call in progress.
I'm running Windows XP. Thank you in advance for any help.
