Hello,

If the windows is newwly installed, the system need all the driver to make the PC reach its optimum performance, If you have CD/DVD utilities u need to install all the drivers, insert it and install the drivers from chipset to the last oprion needed. However if you have no CD/DVD utilities the you can search and download driver here with your specific model of the pc.

I have got a virus on laptop and don't have any protection and can't find the discs that laptop came with to wipe hard drive

As long as you have a Windows install disk you'll be fine. Just start the laptop with the disk in it, and you will somewhere have the option to format your harddrive. (you'll have to select advanced option in some menu) When setup asks for a license key, you should look for it on the laptop manual or the case itself. When Windows is then installed, the virus will be gone, and you will have a clean harddrive, but you'll also lose all your data!!!
If you have any questions, please ask them.

Toshiba laptop wireless not working

sounds like you have virus problems --

it will take some doing to clean it up and get it going again but i will walk you though it.

first i need to know--
are you running xp or vista?
what antivirus software have you been using and is it up to date and functioning?
when you say you cant restart without the disk, have you tried booting to safemode from your bios?
what kind of connection are you using, cable, dsl?
can you browse the internet when you plug directly to your modem?

please let me know

Password

because its a vista system, you have to get someone to hack the system and change the password, there is no option to boot into the Administrator account because it is dissabled by default. She has no access to the pc at all now and i doubt that a high street store will correct the problem for you (even though it can be done). They will suggest a recovery which will wipe out all you daughters personal data depending on the type of recovery done

Rebooting a toshiba equium laptop

First thing to do here since the computer has a lot of virus is to clean the computer if you can still oig in to the computer better install some good anti virus and anti malware software like Avast and Malwarebytes that can clean the computer systme for virus and malware and that should fix the problem. But if you cannot log in to teh computer the next thing you can do here is to format the computer so it will be clean and reinstall everything back...

Your System32 files are the most important ones you have. You need to get your Windows disk and boot from it. then you need to hit repair and the files will be replaced.

Laptop help again :)

Don't panic, the situation is not too bad, as the laptop's hardware is still all ok.
The Ghost software probably did not work because you did not make a complete bootable ghost CD from Windows when computer was working, or you did not do the ghosting procedure properly, or finally the ghost cd is corrupted.
if F11 does not work, it means that the recovery partition on hard disk had probably been corrupted by the virus.
Check if your laptop is covered by some insurance or extended guaranty to cover expenses for system reinstall.
Best way to proceed is asking a copy of restore cd fro your model from HP.
Contact them and ask how to obtain a copy of CD in your region, In UK they charge you £25 or so to send you the disk.
If for some reason you cannot get the restore cd, you will have to re-install system from a generic windows cd, possibly the same Windows version to validate the licence on Windows sticker at the bottom of your laptop (eg. Vista Home, XP home edition, XP professional etc.).
If you have to use a generic Windows disk you will need to download all drivers from HP. and install them after installing Windows.
Also a good choice can be locating a computer repair shop in your area and having the system re-install done using the licence number printed on the sticker at the bottom of your laptop. This job usually is not too expensive, in London, where I work, we charge £45 to do system restore.
Good luck.

Problem with rundell.exe and ntvdm.exe

AvastFREE
Free antivirus select your language and country, download and open, select run a boot time scan restart.
After the unit is virus free we'll work on the next problem, but rundll errors generally occur when infected by malware or trojans.
