Hi,
It sounds optical laser lens is dirty and need cleaning.
Put lens cleaning disc in player and press play, disc will spin and might clean lens to solve the issue.
If that does not fix the problem, unplug player from wall socket, take off top cover and clean lens with good quality cotton bud gently and then check does it play disc. If problem still exist then optical lens got defective and need to be replaced. Local tv repair shop will replace it but replacement would cost you much.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

In Desperate Housewives the Game I got to episode 6 and I had to go play poker at Bree's house, but the game went black.I searched everywhere, but I didn't find any answers. Please help!

This is not an issue with the game itself, the game normally will play through all the chapters. It is most likely a disc reading error.

First try to examine the disc surface for dirt and scratches. Then gently wipe down the surface with a dampened cloth. Also you can have it cleaned at your nearest game store.

I also suggest blowing air through the system you are playing it on with your mouth, or if you have a can of compressed air use that.

I hope this helped, at least you know its a disc reading error and not a game internal error.

Unable to read disc check wii operations manual

You can try cleaning your wii console. Take it apart (this will void your warranty howerver) and take some q-tips, rubbing alcahol, and an air compressor or can of compressed air. Dampen the q-tips with alcahol and GENTLY wipe off the laser lens. Next take your compressed air and blow the dust off EVERYTHING. If you don't want to void your warranty you can take a can of compressed (with the small plastic tube connected) and gently insert the stem into the CD drive, don't insert it too far, just a little bit and blow it out and hope you knocked the dust off the lens. If you can play other games you can take some toothpaste (yes, toothpaste) and rub some over the clear side of your disc (the part the laser reads) and then with a soft, lent free cloth or soft toilet paper, rub the toothpaste off in circular motion. Then lighty dampen you cloth or toilet paper and rub the rest of the toothpaste off starting from the center of the disc and wiping straight out to the edge.

I have personally done this on several CD games and Audio CD's and it's always worked for me. Hope this helps!

Error message request to eject the disc and turn off the console then check with wii operation manuel

The Wii might be having trouble reading the disc. Inspect the disc for scratches and contamination first and gently wipe it off with a dry cloth. If the disc looks fine and the problem persists, try blowing out your Wii with a can of air. Dust sometimes settles on the reader preventing it from reading the disc properly. Hope this helps.

Every time I put a game in it will play for a good while and then all of sudden it will say, problems reading disc check owners manual, or something like that.

This is not nessesarily a solve issue, however it worked with mine, I had the same issues when playing games. I would be in the middle of gameplay, and the the error screen would pop up and say that the disc coudnt be read, All I did to fix the issue was open the unit, blow the dust off the disc drive motor and attatched ****, then I used some 3 in one oil on all the motors inside the system. So far it hasnt messed up (FINGERS CROSSED) I hope this helps.....I noticed with my gamecube that it would quit spinning the game, and after I made it past the gameplay loaded in memory it would error out because it needed to spin the disc and load more programing into memory.....if your disc dont spin you are guarenteed a disc read error

Movies

About 99% of the problems where the PS2 stops playing movies, or certain games is a lens problem. The PS2 lenses are extremely sensitive and need to be cleaned regularly. I am betting you also are seeing "Disc Read Error" or "No Disc" on your screen when you enter the browser.

If this is so, you can get a "high quality" disc that cleans lens, or get a can of air that people use to clean keyboards. If you use the canned of air, you want to be sure to blow of the lens itself and not just blow air through the system, which would do no good.

"No Disc" error message

remove the cover of the unit and try to clean the lens with a soft clean dry cotton swab or if you have a compress air cleaner, just blow it. most of the time cleaning can solved this kind of problem. good luck!

Wii is showing Disc could not be read error

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It also gives information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a kind of Wii Problems Reference Fix Guide.
