My problem is that when I install the drivers for the graphics card thepc boots up to the Windows Logo and then I loose everything on myscreen. My pc is still on, the hard drive works, but the screen isblack. Then I restart the computer on the safe mode, unistall the driversof the card and the computer boot up normally without the nvidiadrivers.
Please someone help me because I'm going crazy. Thanks

I already download and istalled the latest drivers but no luck. The only way to get a picture on my screen it's when there's no drivers installed.
I tried to istall an Nvidia Geeforce 7300GT and the only drivers that I can istall and have a picture on my screen are dated back to 22/8/2006 Version 7.14.10.9687.Anything more recent and there is no picture.
There is no other entry in device manager.
Thanks for loocking into my problem. Peter

OK, well after a long long long googling apparently there are two ways of fixing the black screen after login.

#1: Basically you have to disable the User Account Control (UAC) which is the small messagebox that appears asking for administrator permission each time you open something. Go to Control Panel and type "uac" on the search box on top. then disable it on the link that appears. It worked for me but I had to remove that uac feature which is supposedly for security.

#2: I would had chosen this option#2 instead of the #1 but apparently this updates didn't apply to my system, maybe it will work for yours:
Install the updates that are in the first post of this link
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthre...
    Then Restart.

(Try #2 first. If it didn't work for you, then the option#1)

    Hope this was helpful.

My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium. I have Am. Greetigs CreataCard Platinum 7. Does this not work with my OS? It seems to be "preparing for installation" a long time with no luck to run the program....

Start the "Windows Compatibility Wizard".
Select that you want to install a "Windows XP Application".
Point to the CD-ROM containing the software.
Install it by selecting the 'setup.exe' file.

Biostar GF 7025-M2 v.6.0 Motherboard Drivers For Windows XP Home

yes there are seperate versions for 32bit and 64 bit . check on majorgeeks.com for the drivers, also check cnet downloads for drivers. If the mother board is more than 5yrs old you might not find the 32 bit drivers on the manufacturer's website. also check microsoft , if they have any drivers for that motherboard. good luck

After you install Windows Vista on a computer that uses an SiI Parallel Advanced Technology Attachment (PATA) chip from Silicon Image, the computer does not recognize an attached optical drive as a drive that supports recording. Therefore, you cannot use the computer to burn CDs or DVDs.
This problem occurs because the SCSIport driver does not populate the correct number of bytes for an IOCTL_STORAGE_QUERY_PROPERTY Request Packet (IRP) when the device does not return a correct serial number.
Service pack information loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows Vista or download the following Hotfix.
