    Got the same thing

    any clues?

  • Schminkpi Apr 29, 2008

My CLP300 ran out of yellow toner. I put a new toner cartridge in, but the unit would not reset and still won't print.

I have a second CLP300 that was operational. Thinking it might have to do with the imaging unit, I switched imaging units, but no dice. The unit still would not reset and still won't print.

The unfortunate thing is now the CLP300 that was previously operational, after the imaging units were switched is also showing the same error of the yellow toner out and won't reset, either, even when it's own imaging unit was put back!

Therefore, the imaging unit must be signalling the printer that the toner is out, but not resetting somehow.

I sent a support request to Samsung. Will post solution if I get one.

    I have the same problem

  • Anonymous May 22, 2009

I've got 4 Clp 300s. One had this problem in November (about 1 year since it was purchased--and I returned it. Luckily I had extended warranty and they gave me a CLP315. The same thing happened to another Clp 300 today---again, about 1 year since it was purchased. No extended on this one since it is cheaper to purchase a new one than to purchase toner (which doesn't solve the problem anyhow). The two I've replaced were heavily used, so I guess 1 year is the life on this printer if used often. I do recall, however, that when the toner light first came on, I switched cartridges with another machine and the light turned off. I guess if you wait too long, then switching cartridges or adding new toner won't work.

How do i toner low error remove

Dear Ateeq
the printer has unique CRUM ID chips attached to drum unit and toner unit. These are operate on RF power.

The toner empty can removed when you install a genuine toner cart. and its capacity is 20000 pages. but still you can print 10% of its capacity,i.e. 2000 pages from the time of first notice of toner low.

Thanks.

How do i reset the panasonic dp-c264 drum unit

buy a new image drum.
there is most likely an integrated circiut chip that would have to be replaced but the reason for the chip is to let you know that your image drum is worn out. Different if it was a toner cartridge as you can sometimes refill them and change the toner chip but image drums do wear out and need to be replaced or refurbished.

We have a Brother HL 2140 series the printer will not print. It has a new toner cart. The drum light is lit . Any suggestions?

This machine has a separate drum and toner cartridge. Replacing the toner does not reset the drum light. Double check that the light on is, in fact, the drum light, and if it is, replace the drum unit. This should resolve your problem.
In order to replace the drum unit, do this: 1) With the printer on and the drum light blinking, open the front cover. 2) Press and hold the Go button for about 4 seconds until all the LEDs light up. Once all LEDs light up, release the Go button. 3) Pull the print assembly out of the machine. 4) Push down the green lock lever to take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit. 5) Put the toner cartridge into the new drum unit. 6) Reinsert the print assembly into the machine. 7) Close the front cover and verify that the lights turn off.
It is theoretically possible that you could reset the counter without actually changing the drum by simply skipping steps 3-6 above, but I have never tried it before and Brother may be checking a chip on the drum unit to verify that it is, in fact, a new drum unit. If they are, you will have to actually replace the unit to make the light go off. I would strongly recommend against resetting the counter without actually changing the drum though, as your print quality will degrade and the machine may start to dump toner into the inside creating a rather large mess and a hefty repair bill.

How do i install a toner chip on my hp Cp2025

They're called "toner cartridges."

- See the instructions that came with your printer, but here are the basics

The HP Color LaserJet CP2550 has 4 toner cartridges, one black and three color. Only one cartridge can be changed at a time. They are on a rotating carousel. So you first press the Rotate Carousel button until the cartridge you want to change is selected, then turn off the printer, open the top, pull out the old cartridge, put in the new (being sure it's the correct color), then pull off the tab that keeps the toner from leaking.

HP's toner cart installation instructions are at
http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00242813/c00242813.pdf

and the general manual is at
http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00242826/c00242826.pdf

toner cart stuff starts on page 12.

What is the difference between a toner and a drum on a BB4400 OKI printer?

The toner is the black powder which the printer uses to turn type and pictures into a printed piece. The drum is the device that actually fuses the image to the paper. Toner cartridges and drums have a service life. Toner cartridges will have say a 3000 sheet capacity. When it is empty you replace it. The drum will have a 10-20,000 sheet capacity. Typically the drum is three to four times more expensive to replace. Many companies will give you a credit for turning them in vs ending up in a landfill.
Good luck.

F2 blinking on my copier 5316 AR

F2 - Black toner supply trouble
Try a different toner cart, remember toshake the cart. before installing. Power the machine on and off andcheck. Check the sealing tape has been fully removed from thecartridge as well as the green colored plug.
Also, if you have an original drum unitframe, change the frame with the new Modified version to preventarching at the rear cover of the drum unit against the inside backplate of the machine.
Check that the black dev. tank is not lowor empty, re-position both drum & dev. tank.

Brother 5240 laser printer changed toner still wont work.

This works on several different Brother Printers to get rid of toner/drum empty errors:

1. Open the front cover and leave open while completing the following steps.
2. Turn the printer off.
3. Hold the 'go' button while turning the printer on. All panel lights should be on.
4. Release the 'go' button.
5. Press the 'go' button 2 times.
6. Pause.
7. Press the 'go' button 5 times.
8. The toner light should be off.
9. The paper light should be on or flashing [doesn't happen on all].
10. Close cover. The ready light should be the only light on.
