By accident, I switched my display mode on my system from NTSC to PAL. Now, when I try to switch it back to NTSC by opening up the system menu, there is a blue screen, and a message box pops up, saying: "Not supported mode".
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

thats because your region is for PAL-SECAM. Your unit cannot recognize this format unless it has been programmed to automatically play NTSC & PAL-SECAM.. Browse the menu and try switching to NTSC format. hope this helps ;-)
You have to blindly instruct the NTSC/PAL menu item, which toggles between NTSC and PAL;
This is how it is done:
1) turn your dvd player off.
2) Turn it back on and make sure there is no DVD in the player tray.
This will ensure the menus are active
3) Using the remote, press the dowm menu selector key exactly three times
4) press the center menu select key once.
This will activate the display adjustement menu
5) press the down menu key exactly once.
This will activate the NTSC/PAL menu
6) press the center menu key
The player should now have switched back to NTCS if it was in PAL.
IF it was in NTSC it should have switched back to PAL.
Note: If you still have the manual you can follow the menu tree blindly using the instructions in the manual. The above sequence is for activating the NTSC/PAL menu.
This player can also switch to progressive scan, which creates a similar problem. At least the progressive scan menu has enough warnings before it will actvate.
Is the picture still or it scrolls? You may be playing NTSC tapes and DVDs on a PAL TV or vice versa. If your TV supports multiple systems, try switching from one system to another (like NTSC from PAL).
PAL/NTSC is automatic. if you insert a PAL DVD output is PAL ( most probably PAL-B. Some other brands allow manual PAL/NTSC switching, but at this machine this is automaticaly done. Please verify your TV set allows PAL programs
is your tv is the same tv that u playing before? coz according to you if u play ntsc there is no problem. if ur tv is multisystem, u can change the tv system menu to auto, but if not u cannot watch coz ntsc tv only accepts ntsc signal.
