Hi,

You can follow the following steps to clean the spooler on your computer that might speed up the printing speed .

  1. Open a Command Prompt window >
key the command net stop spooler

2. In the run (Start Search for Vista) type : c:/windows/system32/spool/drivers…look for w32x86 folder.

3. Inside w32x86, there will be folders with the names 2 and 3 delete all of the files and sub-folders in each of the 2 and 3 folders, but not the folders themselves. Inside 32x86, there may be other folders with names starting with "Hewlett-Packard", "hphp" or something else; delete these folders also.
4. In the run
type : c:/windows/system32/spool/printers: delete any files there.
5. Open a Command Prompt window
key the commands
1. sc config spooler depend= RPCSS

(note the space after the = but not before)
2. net start spooler

Cleaning from Registry:

1. Take backup of registry:
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers
  1. There might be two entries names Version-2 and Version-3 under drivers: click the plus sign against them and remove everything under them.
  2. Then click the plus sign against PRINT PROCESSOR, which is under DRIVERS and make sure there is only one entry i.e., WINPRINT. If there is any other entry, just remove it.
The spooler cleaning is complete

Printer is too slow to print once the command is given from PC

Hi
While printing from the USB Port sometimes slow printout/data transfer will result in slow printing of print jobs. or The printer might be printing slow , pausing in between print jobs , or intermittent printing. The symptom solution is mention below, read and follow the instruction.

Solution 1

After the printer is installed on the USB Port, check the description under the Ports Tab what is selected. Please refer to the figure below : c00873625.jpg Using the USB/ Virtual Printer Port and DOT4/ HP Laserjet 2420, under the Port/Description Tab printer speed will be as per the standard. NOTE: If the HP Software does not automatically start, click Start , Run , and then Browse . Browse to the CD-ROM drive at the top of the window under look in and select Setup.exe .

Print slow

Ink jets print slower than other printers. I have used many printers and found that if your documents are black and white only the print is faster. The font also makes a difference. if the font is fancy it takes longer for the printer to translate.

Epson R230 print slow at PHOTO, very slow at BEST PHOTO, if you do not need photo quality prints try printng at TEXT AND IMAGE for faster printing and the quality is still good. Also try to lower the resolution of that you are about to print, high the resoluton images takes longer time to print. Hope this will help you, Good luck!

Not having good quality print with zebra z4 m

Try slowing down the print speed to 2 ips. Then increase the speed. Usually, this is a problem of exceeding the limits of the printer. The faster you print, the weaker the print. With a ribbon that is matched to the label stock, you will have an optimum speed for best performance.

Cannon Pixma MX310 prints too slow.is there a way to print faster

Go to file menu, select print, and then click properties within the program that you are trying to printer from. There should be speed/quality settings here. It really depends on your printers drivers. But the high the print speed the lower the print quality. Other than that there is no way to have a faster printer without sacrificing quality except to buy a new printer. Laser printers are by far the fastest printers.

Slow printing

Even though the printer doesn't call for new ink, remove or replace the color cartridge. First I removed the color and the test page printed at full speed. I then put in a new color cartridge and it again worked full speed. I believe the problem was somewhere in the half used color cartridge. Hope this solves your problem.

Printing Slow

hi,

check the length of the usb cable. if it is very lengthy then there would be problems with the speed.

if not
> unplug the usb cable
> click "start-->control panel--> printers and faxes"
> select the printer icon and delete it
> restart the computer
> plug the usb cable
> wait for few minutes while the driver installations are complete automatically.
> once that is done, try to print

thanks and regards
