Enter the IP address of the router into the adress bar of your internet browser, be default the yours is set to, should be 192.168.1.1

Enter the password when prompted , the default password is Username = admin Password = admin the click on Ok

now when you are logged in press the "configuration" button at the top of the page and on the next screen click the purple button saying "define cusomt service"

when prompted check the radio button saying "Port Forwarding Ranges of Ports" then click the next button

on the next page name your service:

Service Name: Media Player

Golbal Port Range: 1775-1775

Base Host Port: 1775

Protocol TCP and UDP

** Enter the setting twice with one using the Protocol TCP and the other UDP you will have to name the service name on your second one differently (the service name doesnt matter it just identifies what it is, what is important is the port range and the protocols)

now click next and close

from the service Name drop down box, select the ports you just created and then click Enable to enable the forwarded ports.

Your Done!

Thanks!

Westell 7500 set up guide

modems are not routers. Routers can port forward. You need your WAN to face your ISP, and your LAN will need to face your router. Once you have your router talking to your ISP you can set it up to hand out interal network services, but I doubt SOHO routers will do port forwarding. Routers, however, can do port translation like passing gaming traffic over port 80 (web). You can do that in the security tab on your linksys.

I need to access a remote LAN through the internet. our church office is on verizon DSL with a westell 7500 modem. I have security camera's attached through an Ethernet cable. I need to be able to use...

You need to install a software that will manage your LAN's video recording. That software should work fine within your LAN and is usually provided with the Video Capture Cards where your cameras are connected. This software should have a web portal for you to access via internet utilizing your forwarded port. Thus, you must tell your video software to use your forwarded port for internet viewing. Without this web portal, you can't access your remote LAN videos via internet.

How to configure Westell VersaLink 327W to work with ATT internet

I bought one of these wireless routers a while back and found that these can work well with At&t simply by logging into the router (192.168.1.1), creating an account with your At&t user ID and password, and enabling PPPoE with the VCI set to 8 and the VPI set to 35. Worked well for me for about two years now. Hope this helps

I using the linksys 150n router on my desktop in the basement of my house, I have a verizon dsl supplied external modem westell 327w in the office that's working fine. how do i get 150n to work?

  • The router needs to be configured with the settings required by your ISP which is Verizon.
  • The modem should be connected to the Internet port of your router.
  • Verify with Verizon if you're connection is DHCP or PPPoE. If it is PPPoE then you should have a username and password from Verizon.
Please update me about this to assist you further with the installation of your router.

How do I port forward 80 and do apache home website on verizon westell

As I had mentioned earlier to another gentleman, who had a similar issue; those SOHO routers and modem/routers have issues with their advanced functionalities which includes port forwarding. The first thing you must do is - Make sure 'block anonymous internet requests', is disabled in the router's settings - Go to the following website http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/port-scanner/ - Try to see if there is a service running on port 80 If the port is open (which I believe would be a least possibility), there is something else we are missing here. Get back to me with further observations Good Luck
