If the battery won't charge and the laptop won't turn on but the ac adapter works with other laptops, then the problem is the port where you plugin the ac adapter. Some of the laptops has it built in to the motherboard. So you might need to have it repaired by a technician. Or if the laptop is still in warranty, you might need to send it to the manufacturer to have it repaired or replaced. But if the laptop works without the battery, or it will turn on but the battery indicator is not lighting up, you're facing one of these problems.

Hi there. Your problem seems to be the battery. Usually when the battery is at the end of its life the indicator stays at 0%. If you are still unsure you can go to download.com and get free battery testing software. Good luck...
First check the voltage output of the charger(adapter) and match it with its specs.
Also try to reset the hardware using the following steps:
1 Disconnect battery and the charger 2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes. 3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. 4 Reconnect battery and charger and try to start by pressing the power button.

Hi, when u get power on of your laptop .u seen Red/orange light blink 4 times on front panel.it means your laptop battery is not getting charge.please get charge for minimum 6to 8 hrs & then try to on .if y u laptop battery is get charge u r laptop will started on (also confirm your A/c adapter is working .green light is display on front panel it indicates charging on )
