No Problem with the speakers....NEED to get the Radio Code

  • floyd790 Apr 11, 2008

With that Vin number I gave you, can't you find out what the code is....?

  • floyd790 Apr 11, 2008

2000 Mercedes Benz......320E. My wife left the lights on and the battery went dead. Now, the radio won't work, demands a code....Mercedes Radio. How do I get the code, I don't have the book. Vin#WDBF65JYB054483.

  • floyd790 Apr 11, 2008

OK..I'll check tomorrow.....Other experts say that it can be done on line.....I hope you will do your best. I already knew I could go to Mercedes Dealer for a reset.

  • floyd790 Apr 11, 2008

Sonoma County, CA. I guess I'll try the Dealer Rep...There is a service center in Santa Rosa CA.

I cant seem to do anything with the emails.....

  • floyd790 Apr 12, 2008

I am sorry if you think I in anyway berated you...I just wanted to find the answer from you guys for my 10 bucks. You seem like a good chap... accept my apology if I made you feel badly. Remember I contacted you because you are an answer man. I will get my radio running again, and you are a part of the process...I didn't find it because I can't find the owner's manual. Your advise is acceptable....

    "Don't worry...Be Happy"

    Thanks, Floyd

  • floyd790 Apr 15, 2008

I used two gurus....both tried hard to fix my problem....They directed me to try someone who ended up giving me the code for my radio....for free! I am happy with the advise. I'd use it again if I was a lost as I was....Thank you, Floyd

A card should be in your owner's manual / Service folder. Maybe in a zipper folder and would be on a grey card.

or

A Dealer rep should also be able to give it to you from online records and you will need the vin #.

I can get you a dealer number to call if you give me your city, state/or country

you can check online, but it will cost you to do it, I can give you a website to get your code but it won't be free. It should be free from your dealer or from the local dealer

Check the user manual for the car, they sometimes write it down there for you. or the fuse box, there may be a card with spare fuses..

Other wise you will have to go to the Mercedes Dealership to get them to return the code to you. It will probably cost. Is it a Kenwood by chance??

Did you look in the glove box first? It is often in there:)

    Hi floyd06

How did you get on? Any luck finding it in the car?

    regards

If it is a Kenwood,I can give you a procedure... ? The only way to get the code using your VIN is from the dealership.... as we have discussed, check the glove compartment first..

Cool, so check it tomorrow, and then please upgrade my rating, "Thanks for trying" equates to "thanks but no thanks dunderhead" I have given you all good advice... I am not aware of any other way to get this problem sorted for you. So if you think I have given you fair advice, a FixYa rating i more appropriate.

    Cheers

    regards
    Graeme

97 mercedes benz radio is not working when i turn it on its says code n i enter know what the code is. I need help....

Unfortunately, this will probably be a dealer visit issue. You will need your VIN number for the vehicle. It may cost a little, but if you don't want to replace your stock radio, this is the route to go.

Needs radio code after battery went dead. 2001 Mercedes benz e 430 4 matic.

Hi there,
You will need to contact any Mercedes Benz Service center with your VIN from the vehicle. They may also need you to provide evidence of your ownership for the vehicle. This is a standard precaution associated with security codes. Only the owner of the vehicle is allowed the information. They will give you the code from records kept against the vehicle.

I bought a used Mercedes and the previous owner replaced the battery causing the radio to rest. I need the code to get it working but they don't have it. Any suggestions?

If you have the details of where the car was serviced or bought they (or a mercedes dealer) can give you the code as long as you can prove you are the owner of the car (sometimes for a fee)
I had this problem before but the dealers gave it to me

Disconnected my battery on my mercedes benz c230 1998 now i need a code for my radio. I tried one like that now it says wait help please thank you

if you have the message «wait» you did put a bad code, you have to ask a mercedes dealer to have your original code with your serial number of your car.
the message «wait» disappear about 30mn the first time and about 1h the second time if you reenter a new bad code, after the radio will be blocked. so get the right code and before you'll enter it turn on the radio and wait until the radio reask to enter the code.
I hope this helps
Please rate accordingly
