Question about SanDisk Sansa e200 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Freeze! well this **** keeps freezing!.....I try to turn it on and weird lines come up on the screen, or it just has a bright white light on, which does not turn off for a long time, when it finally turns off after like two or three days, it says that thhe battery is dead, even after i had it charging for hours and hours.i plug it in again to charge it and the same process happens all over again, it's very annoying and im already about to dispose of it, which i can NOT afford it.Well my brother tells me to hold the middle "select" button and the menu button down for like a minute or so, it works once in a while, before, but now it has been frozen for about a mont, but most likely longer. I noticed that when i shake it, even just a little it sounds like there is somethin broken inside of it, which i've never heard before. Finally the screen is cracked a little, but doesnt seem like a major problem, but it alsor=has been showing up blurry or whatwver, like when the things to choose arent showing, unless i turn it a little, but now it has been frozen for a very, very long time and i would love some help please. thank you very much

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/driverList.asp
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

White screen with black vertical hypen lines???

Hi, you should get an update for your graphics driver and the Bios update. After the updates for the driver. Do a hard reset. To do a hard reset. We need to shutdown the notebook. Remove the battery. Remove the power cord. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Do not expect the turn on. That would be weird. Actually we are trying to reset something internally. After this. Test if the issue goes away. Hope this helps!

The graphics processor, and second graphics chip both require a reflow. A special BGA reflow 'heat' machine is required.

Compaq V5005us is weird. Powers on with black screen and freezes

It sounds like your Video card and/or motherboard are starting to give out or your LCD is giving way. Try plugging the laptop into an external screen and see if it still acts strangely or even displays on the external monitor.

Freezing, and screen has weird bright-coloured patterns.

try letting it rest, PS3's do not all cool depending on where they are. some have a cooling fan, but others dont. if you let it rest for a day it may stop.
