Monitor HP 1720 Part n.325113-001

The screen is cracked and I would like to replace it. Can you tell me the cost of a screen. I don't want to replace the whole monitor as it would be too expensive

Your actually thinking about it the wrong way.
Replacing the screen in LCD's is more expensive then replacing the monitor. Stupid I know, but that is how they ensure you have to keep upgrading. Same thing applies to a laptop motherboard for the same reason.

You do still have one small light at the end of the tunnel though.
Check around on eBay or similar and you maybe able to find a complete monitor with a dead power board that you can salvage the screen from. Do a search for words like Faulty, broiken, not working in the computer section.

Hope that helps. =)

I would buy a new monitor. Unless you have some prior experience with replacing screens, the labor outweighs the price of a new monitor.

My mother has an HP vs 17x flat screen monitor and has been using it for about 2-3 years now. It was working fine yesterday, but when she tried to go on it this morning the power button on the right side...

The blinking signals that the power source of the monitor is in protected mode because another board has failed in a big way and now it's effectively shorted - this is a hardware failure, not software, so no reset, of any kind , will help.
The only way to fix this monitor is to open it, test the components, locate the failed board and replace it. For that you need at least a basic experience in repairing electronics. If you don't have it you will have to call someone who has it and that will be very expensive - in the end it will be cheaper just to buy a new monitor.

I have a crack screen on my hp w2558hc minitor and need tor replace it. Where can I get the parts?

There aren't any - when the LCD screen is defective it's cheaper to replace the entire monitor.

Crack in the screen. Is it worth getting fixed?

It depends on the screen size and the availability of the new screen. Some manufacturers and repair facilities have access to screens and the cost can be almost as much as a new monitor, and sometimes, the cost can be much more.

A good trick is to find a similar type display that's not working because of the power supply or video board and swap it out with your parts. You can buy a junked out monitor, or non-functioning display from eBay. That will save you some time and money if you REALLY want to repair it, since non-functioning units usually sell for a fraction of what they're worth working.

Conversely, you can sell your broken screen monitor or recycle it too.

Have you tried connecting this monitor to another computer, even a laptop. This would tell you whether the display is bad or the video card is the culprit. I suspect the monitor's power supply is dying. Taking it to a pro for repair should cost @55.00. Buying a new monitor @ $100 - $125.

Cracked face panel on monitor

Yes, the LCD screen "face panel" can be replaced. However, note that this part is the most expensive part of the monitor. If your monitor is more than a year or two old, it may be difficult to find a replacement and it may be more cost effective to simply replace the whole monitor.

HP 2025 20.1" Monitor

Unfortunately, the LCD screen of any screen is always the most expensive part of the monitor, and it usually costs as much as the monitor itself to buy, not including shipping and replacing (unless you plan to replace it yourself). I could not find any replacement screens myself, and they are very hard to find. My suggestion is to just buy a new one. Sorry.
