Please help me resolve this problem with my honestech tv tuner, after i click ok in the error dialogue box, my A4tech webcam automatically turns on using the honestech tvtuner software instead of showing tv shows....

Try and reload the software for the Honestech TVR, the error is from the software.

your tv tuner in usb plug is damage , so kindly check your new tv tuner , friend

Ibrahim Please State your Details properly first! and If you are facing problems with your TV Tuner card Card in Windows 7 Please use TV Expert Software instead of Honestech and First Disconnect your Webcam, install the TV Tuner Card drivers properly, install the TV Expert Software for you TV Tuner and Try to run the TV. I am also using Win 7, Philips TV Tuner installed with TV Expert Software and a web cam but no problem here.

plz help me to correct this error

i have recently bought an Intex Gravity USB TV tuner box. It uses Honestech TVR 2.5 as its main software. I am using Windows 7 on my lenovo Laptop.
The dealer had assured that TVR 2.5 is compatible with Window 7. .but after installing i am only getting s-video icon ,tv and fm radio options never geting on...please help me

Download the software that worked with your previous OS
Right click on the webcam icon and click 'Properties'
Click the Compatibility tab
Check the box to run in CM and enter the OS in the dropbox
Click Apply and OK
You may need to check additional boxes under 'Settings' but that will be trial and error

Even i had faced this porblem,, but i managed to find a solution by myself after no assistance from the Web.

-- Uninstall the software and drivers.

-- Remove the Adapter from the PCI slot and put it in other PCI slot.

-- Install the Drivers and softwares

-- Finally it will ask for XP SP2 CD for replacing the original files. Put it.

-- You are set now..

well i had the same problem... after installing the driver and clicking the hamcap, a dialogue box appears saying that there is no video capture HARDWARE (means that the computer does not recognize the hardware) ...

Suggested solution:
Well what i did was to unplug the usb cord of my webcam and restart the computer... then plug back the usb cord of my webcam... then on the lower right of my windows it says new hardware found.. then click on install hardware... then click the hamcap short icon and walla!! there you go it works...

Depending upon the model of your camera, download one of these to your PC:
A4Tech PK-35N driver
A4Tech PK-635 driver
A4Tech PK-935 driver
Just look on the underside or behind your camera for a sticker which should tell you the model number.

Instructions on How to download and install the driver properly:

1.) Scroll to the bottom of the page and type the security code from the image into the box and click "download" button.

2.) Save it somewhere where you will remember after download. We recommend that you save it on your desktop, so it will be easy to find.

3.) Unplug the PC Camera from your computer.

4.) Open the downloaded file on your Desktop by double-clicking on it.

5.) Follow the on-screen instructions.

6.) When it's successfully installed, please restart your computer.

7.) After you have restarted the computer, connect PC Camera to USB on your computer, Windows system will find the hardware and automatically install the corresponding driver successfully.

These drivers can be installed in the operating systems of Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows 2000/2K, Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 2003.
