I have a new Dell computer, and I have a HP 1209 printer. I hooked it up and it shows it has the main printer but it won't print anything. Do I need to shut it down and bring it back up.

Buy a new printer, not an HP! As a matter of fact, buy a new computer too while you're at it, just not an HP!!!

Have you tried the printers on another PC?Please do.

• Whats the Operating System on your PC?Do the printer drivers correspond with that Operating System?If not,download the corresponding drivers from this dell support site. This you select under compatibility.
  
• After uninstalling the printer,disconnect fully and unplug from power.Reboot your PC before installing the printer again.

If your installing your printer onto different computers and they aren't working on any computers then that tells me the printer is not working at all. Usually a problem with the main board.

What do I do to get this printer installed? I have done everything that I can think of.

make sure that your ink cartridges are in correctly...you may have to push the cartridges in becasue mine are really stiff when trying to get them in or out...once it is happy it will print off a test page to show that it prints

First off, did you try to recycle your printer? Turn it off and back on again. Sometimes power outages can disconnect that printer. If that doesn't work. Go to the printer and access the system network configuration on the led panel. Type in the WEP number and password again, and let it search for the connection. That should do it. Once it's connected you'll see the blue wireless indicator turn on.

We cannot connect the pro l7680 printer wirelessly. Connect the printer to the router via ethernet cable and connect the desktop to the router wirelessly.

the dell must be set to host or peer to peer on the network for the other computer to find it through tcp/ip or ipp protocol. it comesdown to software set up which is always the biggest headache second to the userintroducing a problem. good luck
