You have to have the video taken, and to do this the easiest way, (how I do it) I open the folder for the camera.
(My computer then the place where you pluged the camera in) then I go to the videos folder while in the camera folder, and then drag and drop the videos into ShowBiz.

Hope this helped.

I have a nikon d 3100 and upload all my photos to my computer by inserting the memory card directly into my computer. I am using Picasa to upload my pictures. I have a few videos that I have also taken...

There should be an option within Picasa that allows you to also include video. I'm not familiar with Picasa but most post processing programs provide these upload options. Let me know.

Convert FIFA World Cup Games TiVo to MPEG for NAS Sharing Starting from June 11...

Convert FIFA World Cup Games TiVo to MPEG for NAS Sharing
fifa-world-cup-tivo-nas.jpg
Starting from June 11 to July 11, there are 64 games for the FIFA World Cup, which is held in South Africa this year. Even though most of us could not go to the 10 stadiums in 9 cities of South Africa, we can stay in front of the HD TV, and watch the favorite teams to goal. We can use the sports collections of TiVo to get the events and web content, and even record with TiVo Premiere.
After recording the first half of the game between Brazil and Democratic People Republic of Korea (DPRK) for the World Cup, I would like to put the first half to my Network Attached Storage (NAS) so as to continue recording the second half. However, the first half does not work on my TV in the bedroom. My friend recommended me to convert TiVo to MPEG for home network devices with Aunsoft Video Converter. I think it is the perfect tool for TiVo videos, as it exports MPEG files within a blink. Thus, I want to share with you my experiences.
I first use TiVo desktop software named TiVoToGo to transfer the TiVo videos to my computer, and run the TiVo to MPEG converter to rip TiVo for my NAS. You can download the TiVo desktop software. To rip the transferred TiVo to MPEG, just follow the steps below.
Step 1. Load TiVo videos to Aunsoft Video Converter.
Click the Add button to load FIFA World Cup TiVo videos. While we have enter the Media Access Key (MAK) for TiVo video when using the TiVoToGo, the program does not ask me for the MAK again from the same TiVo Premiere. However, if the TiVo video is from different TiVo Premiere, the program will pop up a window for you to enter the MAK.
Step 2. Choose directly copy TiVo videos on the program.
Click the "Format" option and find the "Copy" group. There is only one option Directly Copy under the group. Just choose "Directly Copy" and the program will convert World Cup TiVo videos to MPEG fleetly.

Step 3. Convert TiVo to MPEG
Click the convert button under the preview window and the conversion from TiVo to MPEG starts immediately.
Step 4. Transfer MPEG videos to NAS.
Use the wired or wireless network and transfer the output videos to NAS. It is very easy to make the TiVo videos
Tips:
With the directly copy function of the TiVo to MPEG converter, you do not need to change the bit rate and frame rate settings, as the program will use the original settings of the TiVo video. If you want to convert TiVo video to portable devices like iPad, iPhone 4G, iPhone 3G, Zune, you can choose from the format and change the bit rate and resolution for output videos.

I put pictures on my sd card useing my camera but when i try to upload them to my computer it says that there are no new pictures to upload

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

How do i upload video from my nikon d7000 to my computer. Will upload photos but the video didn't

You neglected to specify how you're trying to upload your videos so I can only give general hints.
First, make sure you're using a program that recognizes videos. If you're using a program designed to copy photos, that's exactly what it will do -- copy photos. Videos aren't photos, and such a program will ignore them.

The best way to download pictures and videos from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures and videos from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, as I suggested earlier, use a program that recognizes both photos and videos, such as Nikon Transfer.

I took pictures and videos on vacation, when I incerted the memory card in my pc, all the pictures came out(were uploaded onto the pc) but NOT my videos. Each of the videos were just a black space. What...

If you were uploading the pics to a program on your computer, it may not be capable of video transfer, only still jpegs. You could use a card reader to download the videos to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you could try to play them with another program on your computer. You could also download a free copy of Quicktime from Apple.com to play the videos. typrice_25.jpg

I have a Nikon Coolpix P2 camera that I love. I used to have Picasa 2 software loaded and it automatically detected when I attached the camera to a USB port. I've accidently upgraded to Picasa 3, and that...

It's probably because Picasa 3 is not your default import program for photos. You can fix this by:

In Windows XP, your default import setting must be adjusted on a device by device basis:
* Connect the import device (your camera or card reader) to your computer.
* Double-click My Computer on your computer desktop.
* Right-click the listing of your import device.
* Select Properties.
* Click the Autoplay tab.
* Select 'Pictures' from the content drop-down menu.
* Choose from two possible actions:
* Select an action to perform: Select an application to handle import by default each time photos are detected on the specific piece of hardware.
* Prompt me each time to choose an action: Choose an import application each time you attach your hardware.
* Click Apply.
* Click OK.

Windows Vista

Windows Vista allows you to set a global import preference for all photo or videos files.
* Click Start > Control Panel.
* Select Autoplay.
* Under 'Picture' or 'Video,' select your default import program.
* Click Save.

I have no clue how get my Jazz Elite HDV178 camera/camcorder to work as a web cam. can someone please eplain it to me??? thank you.

Make sure the software that came with the camera is intalled. Conect the camera to your computer (via USB the (batteries are not required to be in the camera when you do this)) press the button above the USB. On a pc in the bottom right corner will say "installing new device" ... load up "Showbiz DVD 2" (Start, all programs, Arcsoft showbiz dvd2, showbiz DVD 2.) select “capture from device”. It will show a live image off the camera. If you want to use the camera on an instant messaging service (I use windows live messenger 8.5) close Showbiz. Open instant messenger. Once loaded select Menu, tools, webcam settings. There you can adust settings like the brightness. Then if you want others to know that you have a web cam click on your display name, options, personal. At the bottom of this tam there is a tick box makes sure that this is ticked. Hope this helps
