Is this a laptop? If your battery is not holding its charge, the only answer is to replace it.

HP DC7800 doesn't wake up (and power switch does nothing!)

Bad setting. If you press and hold the power button, the computer will shut off. That will keep you from having to unplug it.

My acer laptop suddenly shutdown then it didn't turn on,the led of the charger is blinking, what is the problem?

you may have had a surge on your charger, i'd unplug it and try a different outlet. After you unplug it, remove the battery for about a minute, then when at the new location plug the battery back in and then the charger. see if that works. if it doesn't it's possible that your charger just died. Did you happen to look and see how much battery you had available when it died?

Computer not powering on. green light is on behind tower though. what can it be?

Could possibly be your power supply. unplug the computer and take out the ram and put them back in. If that doesn't work, get a new power supply.

Dell 530s usb port want work

In device manager under USB you should see 4 different controller entries => For each one, Rt click to the controller and choose Uninstall (no worries driver files themselves are on your computer) => After ALL 4 have been uninstalled, from top menu items click Action -> Scan for hardware changes => The drivers will be reinstalled. When done try again
Power reset If above doesn't help unplug all the power cables. This means unplugging the monitor cable as well as computer power cable. Wait about 15 minutes. Then plug back in and try again

My f10 lite is on and keyboard won't work

Unplug it and replug it, if it still doesn't work restart your computer. If it still doesn't work, it could be the keyboard, or it could be the port it's connected to.

Hi,
It seems to be BIOS password, if you don't remember or don't have the BIOS password you have to reset the password by opening your CPU cover and removing the CMOS coin battery, this will reset the BIOS password but dont forget to return back the battery and start using your PC.

JJ

We went away forb the weekend. I put my computer in a hibernate mode. Now I can not start it.

The best way to fix this problem is to unplug the computer. Then try to restart the computer. If this doesn't fix the problem the best thing that you could do is open up the computer. Take a look at the motherboard, and find a button cell battery on the motherboard. Remove the button cell battery for 10 seconds and then put it back. If this does not fix the problem then take a look at power button and see if it is connected to the motherboard. If this does not fix the problem the other problem could be a bad power supply, which you would have to order a new power supply from newegg.com which would be the best price and install it.
