Dead set

Hello
Check its power supply board. A thorught check should be done with this board, and you must have sound knoledge in electronics to check it. It will be best to replace this board as card basis, as most of the components in it are not available at open electronic spare part market..

I have a LG 42LC5CAUS, when I turn on my set there is no sound, sometimes if I turn the set off and back on I will get sound. It has gotten worse and now I have to reboot to get the sound on and the remote...

Hello,
You need to check the output voltages of the power supply to see which one goes off. It may be due to short circuits some where, if otherwise, Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Hoping this will help to solve the problem....

Need to know where to set low power set up for amp thanks

There is no specific dead key setting for an ampifier. Each amplifier requires different dead key to operate at it peak effeciency AND to sound the best it can. If I knew what type of amp it was I could give you a better idea. Just for a reference point I will give you these numbers. For your basic amplifier ( 2 pill - 4 pill non high-drive) you could safely set the carrier at 1 - 3 watts. This is why the majic number for most people is a 2 watt dead key. For a High-Drive amplifier you really have a broad range of settings for deadkey. Generally anywhere between 2 - 8 watts. Some can even handle 10 watts. This DOES NOT mean that they need a HIGH dead key to operate properly. Just FYI, what you run into with improper dead key is either a really choppy, splattery, overmodulated sound with a deadkey that is to low, OR, a really pinched up, tight sound with a dead key that is to high. Also, a HIGH dead key can cause an amplifier to over heat, causing the transistors (pills) to fail prematurely.
To set your dead key "properly" you really should have a technician "match up" the radio with the amplifier. This means, he will hook up the radio and amp that you plan to use with one another in line and tune (set dead key) the radio to "match" the amp. This will give you the optimal audio and performance without overdriving the amp.
Hope this helped. Lost Jeep, Athens GA, 10-7 !!

Not power not picture or sound

If its Dead Dead ,that mean no power is getting past the fuse :> then it needs a fuse
.30 vs 300.00-400.00

Ok there is a way of telling if its posibley
just a fuse . First no blinking lights ,good
no clicking sound from the set when you
try to turn it on .good

now unplug the set for about 30min
the plug it back in slowley if you
see and or hear sparks coming from
the plug , this is normal but bad news
for it being just a fuse , if you dont
see or hear a spark its likley just a
5-8 amp fuse blew inside the set. :>

Hope this was helpful

TV has power, but picture or sound will not come on.

It sounds like something in the set has failed. These newer TV's have shut down circuits that won't let the set come on if there is a short or excessive voltage somewhere in the set. Most failures in TV's occur at the moment the set is turned on.
