Try re-starting your pc and tapping the F8 while it starts up and try getting in through "Safe Mode". If you can get in click "Start", "Run" and type "cmd". Hit OK. At the dos promt type "sfc" and let windows check your files.

Greetings,

When you boot your PC, press F8 during the boot sequence to bring up the alternate boot menu then choose the option to restore to your last known good configuration.

Did you uninstall Windows Internet Explorer? If not, I also think you may have malware on your PC. Download and install a malware cleaner like Normal Malware Cleaner (If it doesn't work from your computer after restarting) then you will have to download it from another computer onto a USB drive)

If you can boot into Windows normally, run Norman Malware Cleaner right away, it may take a few hours to scan your harddrive for malware. If you can't boot normally, try booting into windows safe-mode by pressing F8 during the boot sequence and chose Safe Mode (without networking) then run Norman Malware Cleaner.

When Norman is done running, click the button on the bottom of the windows to fix the problems then you will most likely need to reboot.

If you need help with this let me know I will be glad to work with you.

Performing a System Restore will solve your issue. And you need not worry about losing data. System Restore will not remove or modify any of your data except the recently installed programs and the exe files. This is to help remove virus or a problem that occured after installing a new software or driver.

Just FORMAT it... But if you scare of losing your info and data, then choose the option to REPAIR the windows installation. Or what you can do is do a checkpoint system restore. You will have to go through much more headachs to resolve it.

Most of the time that problem occurred because of an unsuccessful installation of a program or app. Or you might of deleted a common file accidently...

Blue screen on start-up saying 'stop: c000007b bad image' etc

Errr...sounds like fun.

OK well I would stop trying to get Windows back in working condition until after you backup your files.

The easiest way is to remove the hard drive from the system and place it into a usb enclosure.

Backup the files and then reinstall windows.

If you try the band-aid method you'll just end up wasting your time.

Hope this helps.

STOP: c0000221 {bad image checksum}

You most likely have bad RAM. If you have two chips, pull one out and run the laptop on a single stick. You may need to alternate the sticks just incase the non-working one is the one you left in the laptop.

Blue screen on my laptop

Hi vkdelaossa

That error occurs if you have installed an inappropriate driver or the .dll named in the error has become corrupt.

To fix it you would need to a Repair Install of the Operating System.

If you are not sure how to do this then please reply with following details

Do you have either a Operating System installation disk or a Recovery Disk from the manufacturer of the laptop ?(you might have been prompted to create this the first time you used the laptop)
What make and model is your laptop?

Blue screen of death

It is a problem with either your memory manager or a dll file most likely. If you have an install disk run the memory test on it. This may be called the WIndows memory diagnostic tool or something similar. Often when it reboots it will come up fine again and keep on doing so. If its a corrupt dll you will need to repair windows using an XP system disk or recovery CD/DVD. Hope this helps.
