It's Toshiba Regza 42RV530U LCD TV

The pictures looks very nice from the front viewing, but once I moved slightly to the side, the color start fading.

Plus, it takes 5 second to turn on the tv after I press the "on" button.

is that happen to all LCD tv ?? or is there any solution?

Thanks

- Thanks for your respond.
But I tried to adjust the screen forward and back as you said (vertical plane) and it still doesn't seems making any difference.
Is there any particular setup from the tv itself that I need to adjust??
Besides, is this "off angle" problem considered common among LCD TV?? or it just happened to the model I bought?

-   I have the same problem and the same set.
If you're not directlty infront of the screen the picture appears washed out.
Yet, never see this when I'm in a store looking at large screens and trying to get it to happen.
Have you found a solution?

It is unfortunate but "off angle" viewing will compromise the picture especially on larger TV's and LCD. Off angle viewing can come from the vertical axis or the horizontal, as you described. This is clearly illustrated with a laptop computer. Adjust the screen forward and back (vertical plane) and you will see very clearly that you get the brightest picture in a very small amount of range of the screen. Likewise, viewing from the side compromises picture as well.

I also don't believe that the delay is indicative of any problems.

I have this unit and you can make the set turn on much fast if you go to Options menu, then the Setup menu (sun icon), and the last choice under the Setup menu is called "Power-on Mode". Select it, and change it from "Power-Saving" which is the factory default, to "Fast".
