You have to replace the eeprom chip or flash it or build a dongle to read it using a regular pc monitor then input the password found. no other way. no taking cmos battery no pushing button. thats the only way. i could it for you but i'm in jamaica.

Bios password locked IBM T23

You may manually have to short circuit a connection on the inside of your laptop, this would require opening up your laptop. Give me a moment while I find some schematics to help you out.

Hello how to reset bios password of ibm thinkpad t23 2647

Hi,

To unlock the bios password on your laptop, you will need to remove the cmos battery on your laptop for some minutes and insert back, the cmos battery is located on the motherboard of your laptop, once the cmos battery is removed from the motherboard for some minutes, the bios password will be reset, and that fix the problem.

Take care.

Forgot my password to power on my ibm t23 what can i do ?

If a BIOS or HD lock password you are out of luck.

BIOS password means replacement of the system board. HD password requires replacement of the HD and reinstallation of all software on new drive.

This is a security feature so no one can steal laptops and try to use or sell it.

T23 BIOS error code #05

are you getting a date & time error ?. you could always try just resetting the bios.... remove the bios battery AND the battery itself for about five minutes or so. install it all again and boot up.

Power-on password problem!

The power on password is stored on an EEPROM chip and removing the BIOS/CMOS battery won't help.
You need to read the EEPROM chip to get the password.
