I am interested in either buying a board from you with detailed instructions on how to do the replacement (Is soldering involved?) or sending my board to you to fix. The last response mentioned a link but did not have one. if you can correspond directly email me at treyking at gmail dot com.

Hi, Replace convergence out ICs to get it fixed. You can replace these chips if you can replace parts in circuit board with proper tools or ask local tv tech. Required ICs are available with Part Store. Thanks.
you can get the SONY type 1 convergence repair kit which will usually repair that issue. The kit contains the parts plus instructions on CD. You can get the Kit at the following link. http://www.tvrepairworld.com/
put a convergence repair kit in the set that will usually repair the Issue. You can get the Sony convergence repair kit which works with your model at the following link. The kits contain the replacement parts and complete instructions www.tvrepairkits.net
actually your model should only need two STK392-560 Convergence ICs and six 3.5 amp pico fuses. You can get the replacement ICs and pico fuses at the following link with free installation instructions. Heres the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
First if the auto convergence isnt working you need new Ics . two of them.I am part owner of a site that sells the ICs and provide free tech support by way of online instant messaging and we include detailed instructions on how to do the repair yourself. We also have a service where you can send your board to us and we will install new ICs and all new Convergence resistors and ship the board back to you. Or we sell remanufactured boards. I would recomend replacing the two ICs as that would be the cheapest rout the ICs arent exspensive , but will require de-soldering and soldering in the new ones. Here is alink to the site. You can go and send them a request for information by clicking on the contact us link in the lower left info box. Someone will get back with you quickly just leave your model number and what you would like info on.
Can you adjust the convergence by the convergence menu without going through the service menu? The settings through the convergence menu should save automatically. Have you replaced the convergence ICs? If so the settings should save, if not the D board will need to be replaced or at the very least rebuilt. Let me know if you need further assistance with this issue.
