Greetings mdoll,

It would depend on what a replacement model would run you. In looking at the web at general prices on touchpads and boards, I found the total for the two items, not including installing the new parts ran around 400 US dollars. This would be a choice only you could make.

Thank you,

We have a kitchenaide range, model KESA907 (we think). The touchpad control panel is not registering the numbers 3 6 or 9, making it difficult to set temperatures with any of these numbers in them. How can...

there is really no way to fix that. Only thing you can do is just order a new touch pad overlay. The connector that goes from the touchpad to the control board is probably a little burnt. It happens pretty often, a lot of times due to water. You should contact the manufacturer. depending on how old or new the stove is, its possible they may cover the touchpad.

I have a kitchenaid superba dishwasher. It stopped working. The lights for the settings come on but when I hit start, nothign happens. It's about 7 yrs old.

Try turning off the breaker to it to reset the controller. Beyond that, check the water intake valve. Usually the first thing to happen is filling with water and it will wait for fill before doing anything... so if valve is stuck, it will appear nothing is happening. Valves get crud in them and fail to open.

Kitchenaid Superba Dishwasher

gagaweaver, couple of things you want to check here. Check the upper spray arm for any clogged holes or cracks along the edges. Position it in the 12:00 position and run the dishwasher for a little, open the door and verify that it has rotated. Make sure the water entering the dishwasher is min. 120 degrees, use a thermometer. Makes sure that there is no large pans or dishes blocking the upper spray arm from spraying onto the inner door. If all that checks out. You will have to remove the lower spray arm, filter cover and chopper cover to make sure the chopper screen is not coated or plugged up. If it is, it will prevent a good flow of water to the upper spray arm. Catriver..post back.
