Hello :-) I have a Ipaq 4350 and the same thing happened to me. one day I hard reseted it and when it came to the point when it asked me to align the screen it froze and wouldn't move at all. I found out that it was screen that got damaged somehow. And I think your screen is damaged too. I'd recommend calling HP.

Hi there, I think you pressed some more buttons and accidentaly you entered your device into Serial Mode (Bootloader), which you should update your ROM or reinstall your existing ROM in order to exit that state. I am sending you a link to HP website including your device's ROM upgrade download link, and a complete list of instructions. First of all, connect your device with a usb cable to your PC and see the "USB Mode" in the screen of your PDA. Also please be carefull and read the instructions very carefully before starting the process. Here is the link: (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?swItem=ip-55697-1〈=en&cc=us&idx=0&mode=4&)
Hope this helps. Have a nice day.
What you are seeing is the Bootloader screen. Sounds like you screwed up when you tried to upgrade your firmware. Try running the firmware update again or download a more recent firmware from HP. If you are lucky, the firmware update should work in that bootloader mode.
Based on your post/description, your iPaq 2210 will not power on. It is possible that your battery is deactivated. To reactivate, plug it to the AC power supply/adaptor, press reset at the back of the unit. Assuming no other problem, the unit will initialize back to default factory settings. It's very likely that all your previous/personal settings, files and applications will be also gone.
Good luck and pls post back how things turn up. Kind regards.
