Try resetting your BIOS.

Unplug the machine and remove the BIOS battery on the motherboard and wait a minute and then re-install the battery and plug it in and fire it up.

If you need to change the bios, go into them on boot and configure the boot order to allow the cd drive, this should already be set by default but if its an old system then who knows how its set up.

Usually to get into BIOS you have to hit F1 or Delete, or F2 to get into it, it usually tells you on the splash screen on boot.

I want upgrade

hello, i would install the cpu you wish to use, then see how it runs. and then do a bios update. this may work,if not the motherboard may not be compatible with the cpu upgrade, (propriatory equipment sometimes does not allow such upgrades) like hit or miss! i hope this info helps, and you get the dell to accept the faster cpu. good luck! glen

Re. aspire 7104 celeron processor can it upgraded to T2050 duo core

you need driver for your cpu why?

if your bios doesnt detect it correctly you need to update your bios, but in most cases there is no need to isntall a cpu driver.

Upgrade the processor on a Toshiba equium l40 series from a celron M

The core2 duo chips will be a different socket to your celeron cpu so can do that unfortunately. You may be able to upgrade to a faster cpu of the same socket type but will probably need a bios update for it to run at proper speed.

Unfortunately laptops arent really designed to be upgraded at all bar extra ram/hd/dvdrw.

Hope that helps?
