If you have Windows XP OS installation CD, just put it in and boot your computer.
Leave the system till it comes to a blue screen. Choose to install a new OS and follow teh on-screen instructions.
Choose to format the C drive if you wish to delete Vista and the data in you C drive.
Proceed with the instructions and you will be able to install the OS.
Hope this helps!

Hi I'm Sathiya. I use Windows Vista Home Basic platform. I recently bought a TATA Indicom Plug to Surf connection. It had issues with drivers. I went to Tata indicom site and downloaded the latest driver for Vista. After installing the drivers, my connection is working fine. Make sure that you choose the right version.
This is possible but will take some patience.
Install Windows XP & Service Pack 2
Then check what drivers are NOT installed by going to device manager.
Then go the the Compaq page that lists the drivers for Vista:
Make a note of the name/model of these drivers and search for the XP equivelent usually by visitng the device manufacturers website.
Im sorry this is complicated and long winded but its the only way.
