THE PUMP IS LOCATED IN THE FRONT OF THE MACHINE.
CHECK IT FOR A HOLE IN THE FRONT CENTER OF THE PUMP AND CHECK IT WHERE THE MOTOR SHAFT CONNECTS TO IT. IF YOU FIND ANY MOISTURE THERE, REPLACE THE PUMP.

THE WAY TO CHECK IS PULL THE WASHER OUT AND TIP IT BACKWARD FAR ENOUGH TO BALANCE IT AGAINST THE WALL. THE PUMP IS RIGHT THERE IN FRONT. WHITE WITH TWO HOSES ATTACHED TO IT.

IF YOU CAN'T GET TO IT THAT WAY, REMOVE TWO SCREWS FROM THE FRONT CORNERS OF THE CONSOLE. IF THEY AREN'T THERE, LOOK IN THE BACK OF THE CONSOLE IN EACH CORNER. THEY ARE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS. REMOVE THEM AND PULL THE CONSOLE TOWARD YOU AND PIVIT IT UP AND BACK OUT OF YOUR WAY. THEN REMOVE A CLIP FROM EACH CORNER THAT HOLDS THE CABINET TO THE BASE BY INSERTING A SCREWDRIVER IN THE FIRST HOLE THE CLIP GOES INTO.

CATCH THE FRONT OF THE CLIP AND PRY BACKWARDS ON IT. THIS WIL LIFT IT UP AND OUT OF THE HOLE.

THEN PULL THE TOP OF THE CABINET TOWARDS YOU AND

LIFT IT OFF THE BASE. WATCH CAREFULLY SO YOU CAN PUT IT BACK ON IN REVERSE ORDER.

NOW, YOU SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO EVERYTHING.

My 5 year old Roper washing machine fills up, washes/agitates the cloths, drains them when the washer get to the rinse line to start the rinse cycle it stops, and all I hear is a humming. The machine will...

I'm not familiar with roper washing machines so I'll ask the question does it have two fill hoses. Most European machines now only have one fill. If it has two then it sound like the machine takes the initial water from the one fill and the rinse cycle water from another. The humming sounds like the valve for the other fill needs replacing. These are quite inexpensive and easy to fit. Power off.. remove lid ....switch of water...take out valve when you establish which one is affected and replace

Roper washer leaks when filling

It's in the drain hose somewhere, during the fill the water gets as deep in the drain hose as it does in the washer, during the wash the pump runs in reverse keeping the water level in the hose low, during the drain the hose is filled again.
Prop the washer up in front on a couple bricks or boards, start putting in water until it starts to leak and take a peak under the machine.

My roper wash machine is leaking. is it worth

check when it's leaking during the cycle.
If the fill hose has become unhooked from the outer drum of the machine, it'll just dump water all over the floor... it'll leak out of the case of the machine, but it's an easy fix... you simply open the machine, reinstall the hose into the drum or you may have to replace the hose...washing machines will last a good long time...it's worth the trouble to fix...let me know if you need help opening it up.
This can happen if the machine is overloaded... I had a laundromat and this happened alot because people were cheeeeep and wanted to overstuff the machine thinking they'd get a better deal...not true...dirtier clothes and broken machines....

WATER LEAK WHEN FILLING

IS your leak in the front or the back? front could be the pump seal is broke and back would be you water inlet valves. Pump tilt it back and look underneath for leaky seal and water inlet valves you need to take the back off this is a tricky but doable process. post model numbers from now on please
