Hello Two Dogs280, This code is specific to magenta.Basically the device puts a patch of each color one at a time on the transfer belt. The copier looks at the patch in an effort to optimize the density (amount of toner) to make sure it is at optimum/correct. The code means that "no matter how hard the device tried" it the patch of magenta toner it was using as a benchmark was too weak/light. Now what's odd is that the sensor in the developer unit is happy in the sense that it feels it is not starved for toner,or it would have sent a prompt to replace the empty toner cartridge. So the toner IS there. But the ATR sensor(U16) is not seeing what it expects. This leads me to believe that possibly the dustproofing glass for magenta is dirty. There is a dustproofing glass for all 4 colors. And there is a long blue wand mounted inside the front door(looks like a **** toothbrush) that is used to clean the afore mentioned glasses. There are four small slots (one under each drum) that provide access to the idividual dustproofing glasses. If they are dirty then an accurate calibration cannot be performed. Next would be to clean or replace the ATR sensor. A distinct possible cause, but not the first thing to jump on. I am not sure to what degree of expertise/training you have with this copier but you are obviously smarter than the average bear as you steered into replacing the drum/dev units. I hope this helps,I truly try to help.If it does, please do not be shy about giving me a good rating thru "FIXYA".I don't get money but I like being patted on the head. Take care and good luck. Let me know if I can be of further help. JDH6211@comcast.net. .............SPINAL

Error sc300 on Ricoh mpc 7500. i replaced the drum unit and its fine but after two weeks the error came up again

The error code you gave shows several possibilities for your issue:

Drum charge corona wire, The output of the charge corona wire of the black PCU is abnormal.

Causes

• CGB power pack connection loose, broken defective • Check CGB power pack connection to BCU • CGB power pack defective • BCU defective • Replace OPC drum

Of the five possibilities above, replacing the drum is the most likely cause. Since you only had your drum for a couple of weeks I would take it back to where you purchased it and ask for replacement. Sometimes you get a bad drum out of the box from the manufacturer. It happens. If the same error code pops up again, I recommend you call your local Ricoh dealer for further troubleshooting.

How to reset error c0500

The error code means that the fuser is not warming up correctly. There is a small black rest botton on the main controler PCB on the back of the copier. You are going to have to take the back cover off, I believe in is four screws. Turn the power off and remove the back cover and find the small black botton, once you have found it, turn the copier back ON and press the botton and see if the error code can be rest. If it dose you are good to go... If not you may have to replace the fuser unit..... I did have a problem that was not solved with the fuser unit.. It turned out to be right side door switch... I would look there as well with the back cover off... Good Luck

Dear Sir, Our Scanner was showing to change magenda toner and we change with new one, but after end of the process it is showing the error code of E000020-81, even after shutdown 3 times. What else I can...

The error code your gettting E000020 is a drum code (imaging unit). You however do not have the complete digits after the E000020-????. Those digits define which drum needs to be replaced. You don't need to go into service mode to clear the error. You only need to buy the correct drum and put it in with the power off. Once it is replaced and the machine is turned on it will register and clear its internal error code. To help, here is what the ending codes mean. The xx's have further meaning but in most cases all roads lead to the same result (replace drum imaging unit).

-01xx yellow (Y)
-02xx magenta (M)
-03xx cyan (C)
-04xx black (K)

What is the reset for error code E000004-0010?

This is fixing error code. The E004 is heater has failed - this usually last the life of the copier. The 0010 part is that the copier was turned off without resetting the error not a problem to reset. After resetting the error, fire up the copier and write down the error as displayed if it comes back. The sub code is very important to correct the problem. Some codes mean you have to replace the fixing heater power supply or the DC Controller. This is how you reset the code: Press the additional function key, then press the 2 & 8 keys at the same time, then the additional function key again. Press copier, function ( across the top of display ), CLEAR, ERR, then OK. Turn off copier and power back up. If the error happens again you may have a major problem that a tech may have to resolve. Good Luck.

Canon ir 5570 - error E000100-0001

Hello prntrfxr,
E000100-0001 is a secondary code to the initial problem. It means verbatum " The power has been turned off and back on again without resetting the error ". So, there was a previous error code that instructed the customer to turn off the main power and turn it back on in an effort to reset the code. Unfortunately this must have been an error code regarding the fusing system. Canon designed the copier to prompt the customer to power the copier off and back on for all error codes, and more often than not the copier can recover to some degree or another. Fuser codes on the other hand WILL NOT reset even though the display says to power off/on . You will need to go into service mode to reset the error. Press "additional functions"......then the numbers 2 and 8 at the same time and then additional functions again. If you have followed these steps properly you will now be in service mode and a different screen. Just follow these instructions. Press copier. Press functions.Press clear.Press err.Press ok. Power off and on . This WILL clear the code. However, if the problem still exists the code will return of course. THAT code is the one we need to troubleshoot! :-)
