"F24" is a Temperature sensor (NTC) error. The following link explains how to troubleshoot this problem:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608650-f24_error_code

The NTC, or temperature sensor, is located under the bottom front of the wash tub. It is a small square black plug between the heating element terminals. In many cases the connector plug comes loose and simply needs to be reconnected.

If the NTC is defective, a replacement can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between these sites, so shop and compare. The first three sites have helpful exploded view diagrams that you can use for reference to locate and correctly identify the parts you need. The average cost is about $10. The NTC and Heating Element is usually listed under the "Tub and Motor Parts" parts listing.

NOTE: For an explanation of all the error codes, each one of these washers comes with a technical data sheet inside.

To access, you will need to remove the lower toe panel under the door. The access screws are located under the bottom front edge of the panel. You may have to prop the two front fett of the washer up for better access ( a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel should drop down, then come off. If the tech sheet isn't directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls.

The tech sheet lists all error code definitions, troubleshooting data, diagnostics procedures and wiring diagrams. I mention the tech sheet because you may need it to troubleshoot this error code.

If you have any questions about this repair, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this helps you.

When i try to wash a laod of clothes it keeps putting up a f24 and wont do anything

Hi

Error F24 means water temperature sensor error. If the sensor reading is not within range then this error comes up. Check whether the sensor is not disconnected, if it is then connect it and check if the error is still there. If error doesn't go then you'll need to replace the temperature sensor.
Please check part#24, temperature sensor in the diagram--

Hello, I'm getting and Error Code F24, does anyone

The "F24" error code is a heat sensor error code. The following link explains the error code in detail and the steps to correct it:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r1976126-f24_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

In many cases, the connector plug on the NTC sensor wiggles loose and causes the error code. Check the NTC connection first to make sure it is tight and making good contact. This may save you a service call and/or replacement parts. Make sure you UNPLUG the washer before servicing anything inside the unit.

A replacement NTC module (if required) can be purchased at searspartsdirect.com for about $10. The part number is 8181705. Refer to the parts illustrations under the "Tub and Basket Parts" heading for item 26 as a pictoral reference to assist you in locating the sensor on your washer.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Error code f24

F24 indicates a water temperature sensor error. If during the wash cycle in the water-heating step, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range the F24 error code will display.

Possible causes:
  • Too cold of water or hot water is turned off
  • Temperature sensor failure or loose connection
  • Control board failure

Take off the lower panel of your washer and under this panel on the back of panel is a book which tells you what the error codes are and how to fix them or test for them. It looks like a tempature sensor code to me.
