From what I understand you are now using a new version of Internet explorer or Firefox or chrome browser, all of which use something called tabbed browsing. These browsers open multiple pages in one window as tabs. (Earlier versions of Internet explorer used to open each pages individually, and using the close button will only close that particular window). In tabbed browser each tabs can be closed. If you try to use the close button on the top right hand corner, it will ask whether you want to close all the tabs and close all tabs if answered in affirmative. To close individual tabs click on that particular tab and you will see a small X on the right hand side of that tab. Use it and only one tab will be closed.
THIS IS A common problem with dell laptops,,dell laptops comes with 2 softwares, one is wireless zero configuration provided by microsoft,,the other is dell wireless WLAN card utility.go to start and all programs u will find dell wireless WLAN card utility.when u open the software there are 2/3 checkboxes at the top.disable the dell wireless WLAN card utility and use the wireless zer confiuration.Alternatively u can open up run and type services.msc and hit enter.look for Wireless zero configuration or WLAN configuration ,,double click on it and enable it,after tat u open the network connection window and right click on the wireless icon and hit enter,a box will come up with 3 tabs at teh top.click on teh middle tab and use windows to manage ur wireless netwrk.click apply or ok and restart the computer to check.if that doesnt resolve contact technical support and ask them to update the drivers of teh wireless card,,best of luck and infm me if ur problem gets resolved

Internet explorer is unable to handle many windows open at the same time.
My suggestion is to use Mozilla Firefox which can be downloaded for free which is safer and has much fewer errors than IE. Please update me on the situation and what internet browser you are using and I will work with you until the problem is fixed.
