Question about Dell 2400 550W Power Supply ** FREE ** (NEON550W) Power Supply
Yesterday, I brought my pc 750w power supply, after properly installing, I was playing the PC, such as games, internet etc, some hours late, pc turn off suddenly, but when I turn it again and turn several time, I find the cooling fan, even the ones in my graphical card didn't turn but the motherboard power light did turn on and show green color, I find my supply must be damage otherwise the fan must function and spin.
why? it's "cooling master". after all, I have try several time and I just hear a click sound from my supply and see the green light on but fan didn't spin. why the supply was so poor like that and damage such easily? I ask as the power light did on, so the power should be no problem!!!! my carrer isn't a technical experts or student taking physics or computer science, but as a general customs, I didnt' think such brand and a computer conponents would be damage such easily. of course I will return and get a new ones, however, I just to know what it occur and what factors will make the situation like that to the pc supply? thank and look for reply as soon as in the board.
Must be a poor quality PSU. Sometimes it can be rebranded. Try another PSU. Sometimes a PSU takes out a mobo too
