Question about LaCie (301015) 120 GB Hard Drive
My fairly new external hard drive has not worked after the first time I performed a back up on my Mac. It won't let me read/write files! I currently dragged my folders into another external hard drive in case this one is totally unrecoverable, but I'd like to use this one as my main back up.
I ran it through disc utility and it just says the following (and I don't know how to repair it):
Verifying volume “LaCie”
Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Invalid sibling link
The volume LaCie needs to be repaired.
Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed.
Please help me figure out how to repair this! I have the worst luck with losing my data and I need this for backing up!!!
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
