Check that the oven is on manual operation (hand indicator on the program selector). If the oven is not in manual mode, a program and/or time has to be set.

well as the manual says it should be in manual mode for it to function, you have to set the parameters for it to work,,
when you dont set in manual mode(operation mode) it automatically stays in demo mode thus your problem which is demo mode or to be more precise not heats up, happens.

    perform cleaning cycle

To carry out the cleaning cycle,
remove the oven shelves and set the
oven to CATA which is the cleaning
    setting.
    • Press the Function selector
    until the required setting is
    illuminated.
    • The display will show CATA and
the heat indicator will scroll until
    the required temperature is
    reached.
    • The operating time automatically
sets to 1 hour and the cook time
    indicator illuminates.
    • When the cleaning cycle has
    finished a warning will sound.
Press any button to stop the
    sound.
    • The function will turn off and the
    light bar will stay illuminated.
    • It is a good idea to run the oven for
an hour or two per week to ensure
    continued good performance from
    the Stay-clean finish.
    • Slight discolouration and polishing
    of the Stay-clean surfaces may
occur in time. This does not affect
the Stay-clean properties in any way.

Check that the time of day has been
set on the clock. Check that the oven
    is set for manual cooking.

F&p OB60SL11DEPX1 built in oven. Bought this as an off the floor demo. Just installed it. All the functions, clock etc work but elements not heating up. Troubleshooting says it might be in demo mode!!

It could also be a faulty circuit breaker. If one of them trips internally it may not trip the handle or indicate one is tripped. This situation allows only 120 volts to reach the oven instead of 220. That's why the clock functions but not the elements. To turn off Demo Mode:
1. Press SETTINGS 12 times. "Demo Mode" and "ON. Press (1) to OFF" will appear in the display text area.
2. Press the "1" keypad to change the Demonstration Mode setting to Off.
3. "OFF Selected" will scroll in the text area. Demo Mode has been turned Off.

Eecrolux combination wall oven / microwave is in demo mode model# ew30mc65jb

Good Morning Rolf, thanks for your post!

Based off the information you have provided your Electrolux wall oven/microwave combination is stuck in demo mode. The best way to remove demo mode from your wall oven/microwave combo is to hold the oven light button and the on/off keys at the same time and you should be able to toggle in and out of demo mode. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt
