More often then not a decoder board would be your issue here. the decoder board or AKA tuner/decoder puts the signals on your lcd display. When they give up on doing that you get these nice stripes on your lcd display. Now if it where the screen itself you would have "dead pixels" or stuck pixels , witch is not the case here.

What you need to do is ether bring it to a TV repair shop or try and get the part and do it yourself. What we are talking here is do it yourself. If you not into that then your going to need a repair shop its going to cost about 2 3rds or more of what the tv is worth to fix, So this is where you might want to consider your options.

Thanks for using fixya.com. I do wish you best of luck with your issue and please do be considerate and leave feedback and a rating.

The question here is are the lines fixed or do they move? Some of these models are prone to poor connections for the panel itself which can result in this behavior. If you are comfortable opening up the unit, carefully reseat all of the cables and connectors and try the unit again. The signal levels present inside these units is very low and any dirt or corrosion at all can cause signal degradation. This is the most common cause of FIXED lines. Moving lines are usually caused by a fault in the main logic boards and is not cheap to repair.

Update this with the results of the reseating and we can continue from there should the problem not be resolved.

I've removed the back and the main board with filter capacitors while looking for a loose solder connection. The set has seemingly random cross hatch lines that change patterns and colors for about 30 to 45 minutes and then suddenly has a flawless picture that remains perfect for days if left on.But if the set is turned off for more than 5 or 10 minutes it has to be on for 30 to 45 minutes to normalize.I guessed that this behavior had something to do with component temperature which could cause connections to expand and contract, but I saw no evidense of such. Any tips would be appreciated. The set is an RCA L26WD26D gould2008@frontier.com

Color went out

How is this television hooked up? If you are running component cables (red green and blue) check that the red and blue cables have not come loose from their RCA jacks. If this is not the problem more info is necessary such as model number and any event you can remember happening when the color went out.

I have a cat5e wall plate(tph552) a cat5e wire4 colors don't match and 4 colors do ( brown,orange,blue,green,) are ok then wire has 4 that are white with (brown,orange,green,blue,)stripe. and wall plate...

The wires/colors in a category 5e cable run in pairs. They should be tightly twisted together, mostly white with a blue tracer. mostly blue with a white tracer- mostly white with an orange tracer- mostly orange with a white tracer, mostly white with a green tracer- mostly green with a whte tracer, and mostly white with a brown tracer- mostly brown with a white tracer. The jack you have sounds like a standard telephone or cat. 3 jack. If the jack is being used for a standard telephone line, you'll need to connect one of the wire pairs(usually the white/blue pair) to the green and red terminals on the jack.Make sure that the same pair is also terminated at the main telephone junction.

No Red color at all. The convergence feature does not work either. Lots of green and blue RCA Model D52W59

Red color gun has failed, which will make the picture over saturated with the other two colors(blue, green) the bad news is the three color guns need to be replace in a set(all at the same time) because if you only replace the red it will over saturate the older blue, green guns then your picture will be mostly red.Unfortunently in most cases it's not worth the investment, better off to purchase a new tv. Good luck !

COLOR IS SEPARATING

go into the menu of tv.find manual convergence, you have to adjust the red ontop green, blue ontop green.DO NOT MOVE GREEN.your set might have autoconvergence if it does activate it.let it go thru the process before doing anything.it should reach 100%.if it does not,you have a problem with the board.part number of the convergence board is 268820,you can replace it yourself.everything plugs in.

RCA 52 in HDTV red, green and blue colors not alligned - concave

That repair only repairs the issue of the convergence option missing from the on screen menu. If thats what your problem is then the ITC222A convergence option missing repair kit at the following link should repair the issue. The kit contains the fl231, DL231, CL230 and the CD with detailed instructions.

DVD won't play movies in color

RCA cable connectors (red, white, yellow) are usually for an analog setup. You could still use these for "component" setup, but know the difference with color stamps as follows:

Component color stamps are "blue, green, red" ( blue is marked Pb, green is marked Y, red is marked Pr)

RCA color stamps your using are "red, white, yellow"

Here are the proper hook up method for "Component" using your "RCA" connectors:

On both the TV and DVD component setup:

Plug the red RCA fitting in the component port marked "Pr (red)

Plug the white RCA fitting in the component port marked "Pb (blue)

Plug the yellow RCA fitting in the component port marked "Y (green)

Be sure this setup is the same for the TV's component input ports, and the DVD's component output ports.

i-Note:

For optimum picture quality you may want to purchase component cables as the gage is thicker giving better impedance match resulting in better picture and sound quality.

Blue, green, and red colors all off

I would suggest having a repair person come out to your place to fix this problem. I believe the convergence IC are going or have gone bad. I would estimate a $300 - $400 dollar repair bill.
