Question about Nikon D40x Digital Camera
I bought my camera a little less than a year ago from Best Buy full price! I let my twin sister take it to a hair show in Orlando for the weekend and she brought it back today, however, when I turned it on and tried to take a picture it just kept trying to focus and wouldn't take the picture. I then noticed that the flash wouldn't pop open like it usually does. I'm thinking it's going to have something to do with the settings being changed without me knowing but I have no idea how they were set to begin with! I'm in a crappy situation and NEED HELP pleeeeease!
You maybe too close to what you are taking a picture of? Or there are no clear focal points to lock onto. And the d40 won't lock in a focus point preventing it from shooting (by default). There is a way to change the default so the camera will take a picture even if it isn't 100% in focus. That annoyed me when i first got my d40 and it wouldn't take a picture pressing the trigger! Or try to change the focus type and try taking a picture.
