Question about Creative Labs Zen Micro MP3 Player
The computer doesn't know it is hooked up. Took the battery out for days, still won't go past the first screen.
I had the same problem. I found the solution online somewhere and I fixed mine, but it only worked inconsistantly, but better than not at all. You have to completely dissemble the micro and flick something within the harddrive.

This may have the same problem alot of Creative/Ipods develop.
If the hard drive inside it fails, it just sits there trying to get info from the drive. The same thing will happen to a PC with a dead hard drive. It will hang for ages while the system tries to communicate with the drive.
A replacement drive can be purchased, but they are not cheap or easy to find as you could imagine.
