As all the other motherboards F8. But press it after the first screens, after the setup post. It is possible that F8 to be the key for enterring the boot menu.

If you need further assistance, leave a comment.
Cheers

Hello my asus netbook PC turns on it comes up with the asus home screen but then it goes black when it's supposed to let me log in

The first thing to do is to try to boot up in safe mode. You have to search google for how to enter safe mode for your particular laptop (it usually is pressing a particular key while it is starting up).

You will probably find that it starts OK in safe mode, then you will have to start disabling drivers etc until you find what was the problem so it will work in normal mode.

This is the most common way of fixing this problem.

I need to know how to get into safe mode on a asus essentio desktop

As soon as the screen comes up that tells what kind of computer you are using when you start the computer, keep tapping the F8 key and that will bring you to a menu with choices of safe mode, safe mode with networking, and restore to last known good configuration.

Asus aspire laptop has black screen w 2 windows 1 has @ top says administrator:cmd.exe the other says safe mode in all corners how can i fix this

Your computer has booted into Safe Mode. A simple restart should fix and boot it back to normal. If it boots back into Safe Mode, Shut it down, then turn it back on while holding the Escape key. On the screen that comes up use the arrow keys to select Normal Startup, and press Enter.

My elan smartpad mousepad on my asus k501 stopped working. I think I might have locked it, but I don't know how to unlock it.

Please restart the computer in safe mode (keep tapping F8 while restarting the comptuer untill you get the advanced menu to choose safe mode). Use the up and down arrow key to choose safe mode and then hit enter.

check if the mouse pad is working in safe mode, if it works then the hardware is good.
We need to work on reinstalling the software to solve the issue.

Revert to this post after checking in safe mode so that we can suggest next steps.

Asus A8N SLI RAID showing both drives as "degraded"

This problem usually occurs if: 1) The computer never finished booting 2) A sticky button on you keyboard (F8 or Control Key for win98) 3) Less Memory for windows xp and ME. Try checking if all the memories as well fixed on the board and are being read. 4) Corrupt system files. 5) Incorrect bios configuration (Try changing the bios settings to optimum performance of fail safe to confirm that. All the best.
