Question about Joby Gorillapod (GP3-01EN) Tripod

1 Answer

I recently bought a Joby Gorillapod and was very surprised and frustrated the balljoint connection was mission. On some of the boxes no did it indicate this part was missing however there was a empty box that had a picture of the item as well as pictures of this piece being used with the tripod on the box. Total rip. Not happy. The stores don't sell the part. Anyone know where you can get it and what the price is?

Hi! Thanks for buying a Joby product. What Gorillapod did you buy? We have 2 products that have ballheads as accessories. You can find out more about the Ballheads (one for our Gorillapod SLR Zoom and one for Gorillapod Focus) at http://joby.com/gorillapod/ballhead/ and http://joby.com/gorillapod/ballheadx/.

Gta 4 cheats gta unlimited money

There is no cheat for unlimited money in GTA 4.(here's the list for all the cheats http://www.cheatcc.com/ps3/grandtheftauto4cheatscodes.html)But you should get more than plenty on the mission "Three Leaf Clover".After all , there aren't that much things to buy in GTA 4 , just clothes and you will have more than enough money to buy all the clothes after that mission (250 000 dollars).

I have a problem with a very over sensative power steering the allingment is good. ( It is a motor home ) It is very unpleasant to try to steer the vehicule in a strait line .

I'm betting its a 4500 or 5500 chassis. Maybe not but, I can almost guarantee its the "draglink".
This is the large diameter(at least 1 inch) steel rod that connects the steering box arm to the left front spindle/hub assembly. It has balljoints on each end, and one, if not both are shot. You can check this yourself with a helper. Take you 10 seconds! Find the draglink, and have your helper turn the steering wheel 1/4 turn each way with the key OFF. Have him rock the steering back and forth in this manner while you watch the balljoints on the draglink. If you see ANY, yes ANY movement in either or both balljoints, REPLACE the draglink.

Also, watch the column where it connects the steering box and the arm. Movement on both should be just about the same. If there is a pronounced delay between the column rotation and arm movement, the steering box may be worn as well.

Either, or a combination of these two items will make it very hard to steer in a straight line!!

My Joby Garillapod no longer supports my digital slr. I've had it for a couple years and it's always worked fine. Then, last week in Egypt, the top "ball" just wouldn't support the camera. Any suggestions...

Yes. Buy another one, or use a cheap and reliable beanbag (not as versatile though)

They're non serviceable and work entirely on friction. It's quite likely that the heat of Egypt has expanded some of the plastic joints and over time fine dust and grit will have worn down the joint tolerances just enough to make the joint actions too loose for your current needs. You may be able to retire it for use with lighter compact cameras though or to mount remote flashguns upon.

I've been a fan of Gorillapods for a couple of years as well and have worn out a few of them: I've found that the next size up from the one Joby advise you to use does a far better job and lasts much longer, so my SLR cameras now have the Gorillapod Focus dangling underneath. (n.b. the link is just for convenience, I found my last two cheaper than Amazon prices).

As a quick fix, you might want to carry a can of hair spray with you. An occasional spraying of a sloppy Gorillapod will keep it going just long enough to last out your trip. But spray the tripod only when all your optical equipment is tucked well away in your gadget bag.
