Question about Sony DCR-HC18E Mini DV Digital Camcorder
The camera has started to do something odd. Any white or bright parts of an image have no definition and their edges send out spikes of light making it impossible to really see anything through the lens. It's hard to describe but if, for example, you focus the camera on a white skirting board, the edge is completely blurred and spikey with white and yellow stripes and spikes. This is also recorded onto the film but film shot prior to this problem is OK. It is helped by putting the camera onto sports setting but it's still not right.
You need to go to the service center for replacing the ccd image sensor...i know it is free for replacing that image sensor cause your camera is one of the recall product due to the production error of the image sensor...log on to the sony site and go the costumer service cause the free replacing of that part will be expired now..
