Fortunatly you have several options still.

  1. Contact Nintendo via their website and try to locate a repair centre near you, or they may be able to get it sent off to be fixed.
  2. Look on eBay, there are lots of these being broken by small children and you could salvage a screen from one of those.
  3. You can find places that specialise in console repairs that can do the job for you also.
The good news for you is it's not the actual screen that is damaged. Threre is a touchpad that sits ontop of the screen that you are really pressing on, so you may even be able to find just the touchscreen and replace the one you have.
The only bad thing about the repair is I cannot advise you to try it yourself unless you are very electronically minded. There are bits inside that are extremely sensitive and can snap with the slightest amount of pressure.

Hope that helps you along the way =)

I have a playstation 2 system that had a game in it, and was plugged into a surge protector. While the game was in the system the surge protector blew. Now when ever i put only that certain game that was...

Make sure that the disc is clean and there aren't any fingerprints or visible scratches on it. The disc may have been damaged by the console's laser during the power surge, so look for any deformations in your disc or anything that looks irregular. If you find one and you can't wipe it off, then your disc may be damaged beyond repair.
As a last ditch effort, if you do find a scratch or gouge in your disc, you can try using a little bit of clear nail polish to fill in the scratch. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to replace the disc.

Ds pen not working on screen

If your stylus pen is not working on the touch screen there could be a couple of reasons. The screen could be heavily scratched , you could have a screen protector that is making it not function properly or your touch screen may have failed. I replace touch screens for $20.00. If you are a do it your selfer you could buy the touch screen off of eBay and you could find how to replace it on the internet. You would need a tri-wing screwdriver,a good set of eyes and patience. Hope this helps.

Stylus scratching the screen

I would suggest going to a local store and purchasing a screen protector along with a new stylist. Doing that will make sure that you can't scratch your screen.

Thanks,

Screen is scratched on Nintendo DS lite.

if it's the top screen, check out a product called "displex" - its very good at polishing out deep scratches on mobile phone / console screens.

If its the bottom screen then I'm afraid you need to replace this:

Touch screen is pretty scratched up. Is there a solution to repair it? I looked into replacing it but it looks very complicated to do by self. Thanks.

you do know if you have bought the ds from a games shop and had it less than 12 months you can get a free replacement no matter how many scratches or even a free repair, so if you do get a replacement go on ebay and get yourself some touch screen guards/protector, they only cost 99p most of them are free post and packaging, i hope this is of any use

Scratched bottom screen

If you look on the web, you can find a product that will restore the screen to its origional look by reducing and filling the scratches. Then, get another screen protector.

The bottom screen has scratches all over

It may not be what you think.
Check it closely there could be a screen protector on it that just peels away and you apply a new one to it.
When you first buy a DS it comes with a set to apply straight away.

These are easy to get anywhere they sell Nintendo's.

Bottom screen scratches

I think you can buy a polish kind of stuff at best buy or a store like it that fixes the scratchs. Ask a person for help though, I'm not 100 percent sure of it.

Have a wonderful day!
