Laptop not connecting to network

I am having a problem with my router. My laptop can see and connect to my router and says it is connected to my network, but I can not access the internet nor any other computer on my network.

my laptop is connected to the internet through the wireless modem but my p.c, even though it indicates that its "running smoothly" will not alllow me to access the internet. neither will my house mates. i did set the modem up through my laptop as my p.c is old and does not have an ethernet connection. i have installed a belkin G usb adapter.
