There might be an interference that is interrupting the link between your iPhone and your wireless router. Interference can come from other wireless devices that runs on the same wireless frequency that your router is using to communicate with your iPhone.

One way to address this is to change the channel your router is running on. If you don't know how to do this, you may want to contact your router manufacturer to help you do this. You may also reply to this and give us the router brand and model you are using, so we can give you instructions on how you can do this.

I apologize for the delay on this.

Here is how you can change the channel on your router.

    1. On your computer that can get online through the router, open your browser like Internet Explorer and paste this address address bar of your browser -http://192.168.1.1 then hit enter.
    2. You will be prompted for a user name and password. Put in admin for both useranme and password. This is the default settings, if this was changed used the set username and password.
    3. Click Wireless Settings in the main menu bar of the wireless router.
    4. Then look for "Wireless Channel", change to 1 or 11. Then click "Apply" to save the changes.

You can test you iPhone and check if this will still get kicked off from the network.

Wifi stopped working for ipod 4th generation

Go into settings and look at the wireless section. Select the wireless connection that you normally use and try to connect. Tell us what happens from there.

Some possible causes might be:
- The password for the wireless router in your home network may have changed.
- If your home wireless router has recently been replaced, or if the iPod is trying to connect to an old or outdated connection, you may need to remove any non-working connections shown in settings and/or create a new connection to your home wireless router.

Re-creating the connection to your wireless router and making sure you have the correct password is the first step to solving this. If that doesn't help, give us more details on what happens when you try to connect (from within Settings).

Cannot connect apple ipod to wireless network

Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the IPod, laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the IPod, laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

Do i have to have a router to connect to belkin wifi on my ipod touch?

Yes you need wireless router to use wifi in ipod touch or on laptop.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method.
Then click on wireless and enable it.
. Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Why doesnt my ipod touch connect to my belkin54g network

Go in to setting on your ipod and in setting select connection, then wifi.At there the ipod will ask you for the router password o keys.

If you are having problems connecting either your iPhone ® or your iPod Touch ® to your wireless router please ensure that the routers wireless name (SSID) contains no spaces.

I will advise you to configure the WEP encryption using your router before connecting using your IPOD.

Note: IPOD support WEP encryption. Check the network connection if the Internet is working properly.

Can't connect my Ipod touch to my router?

You must be sure to what router you are trying to connect. I understand you have a ZyXel and a linksys. You must have 2 wireless networks. Your wireless network must be secured, so you just have to use the correct password. I need more details. Try this http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

Connecting Ipod touch 8(GB) to Wi-fi

Hi,
I want to tell you that there might be two problems for your concern.

1. Your router is not working properly
2. Your Ipod Touch is not working properly

But it might be possible that both devices working fine just the compatibility issue.

First of all i can suggest you that you can upgrade the firmware for your router.

Then you can reconfigure your wireless setting on your router.

Then tried to put static ip on your ipod touch in the network setting option

IP address: 192.168.0.15
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1
Secondary DNS: 4.2.2.2

Then tried again to connect wirelessly with your ipod touch make sure you dont required to add mac address for you ipod touch and also you can click on the option called "Wireless Access Point"

Then you can see the option " Turn Access Control On" you can uncheck this option.

Try again i believe that will resolve your concern.

Thanks & Regards
Jaspreet Singh Saini

verify wireless settings in your router. Check if the security enabled in your router is already supported by your IPod touch. Otherwise, set the wireless security of the router to a mode that is supported by your IPod touch.
